I love this forum so much , I wrote an entire routine about it . Would you like to see / hear it ?

OP posts:
lizzie83 · 16/10/2011 09:37

very funny :)

AngryFeet · 16/10/2011 09:39

I think it was funny. To be honest a lot of the suggestions on here are silly. Presumably the OP is aiming this at a wide audience not just the members of MN so to start going into specifics would not work at all.

thunderboltsandlightning · 16/10/2011 09:45

I still don't get why people here don't mind being described as smug complacent bitches. She does mean you you know - people who post on Mumsnet.

begonyabampot · 16/10/2011 09:52

Well, me and the husband and two young sons just had a good laugh at it, like your style.

SleepyFergus · 16/10/2011 09:58

"I'm a smug complacent bitch......"

waits a few minutes

Nope, I'm still here, nothings changed, and I've no desire to burn my bra and weep into my ovaltine, and rampage through the streets killing spits MEN!

Northernlurker · 16/10/2011 10:02

A society when women who are raped are questioned about their behaviour and clothing.
A society where pregnant women are still discriminated against and disadvantaged in direct violation of the law.
A society where a woman's right to control what happens to her body is up for debate in Parliament.

A society where hate filled threats of violence against mothers for being mothers is greeted with braying laughter by men and amused acceptance by women because it's satire and it's funny and you have to laugh don't you?

Well no I don't. I don't find any of this at all amusing.

SleepyFergus · 16/10/2011 10:04

Jeez, hate to even imagine what you make of X Factor!

HullEnzia · 16/10/2011 10:05

Made me laugh Grin very well done.

(also love your accent! Grin )

suburbandream · 16/10/2011 10:05

Sorry but I just didn't think it was that funny, although I will now be hearing "Am I BEING unreasonable" in her voice every time I see AIBU Smile. And why post it on here anyway? To get a bit more material I suppose.

thunderboltsandlightning · 16/10/2011 10:09

Fergus, it was the OP who wants to kill Mumsnetters - see the streets run with our blood. Why aren't you taking the piss out of her.

Seriously I think this is because people are impressed with someone who has been on the telly.

KreepyInMind · 16/10/2011 10:10

OP you nailed it Grin
However you need to work on some working V stay at home mums
Parking in disabled/ parent and child bays
Using the disabled/ changing toilets
Breast feeding V formula feeding
Greggs sausage rolls and fruit shoots

SleepyFergus · 16/10/2011 10:21

Oh FFS, it's nothing to so with whether she's been on telly or not (has she, I don't even know who she is!)

It boils down to the fact that SOME of us found it funny, regardless of how you think it portrays women/mums, yet we're not allowed to have a laugh now are we??Doesn't affect what I think of rape etc.

But that automatically makes us shallow, thick and not doing our bit for womanhood.

Yawn.

You have your own entire section for ranting and raving on feminist issues. Suggest you go and swing your norks over there.

AIBU? You bet your bottom dollar I am, and so you know what......^^ I don't care!! Ha ha!!

kitya · 16/10/2011 10:23

Saw this at a pre-fringe warm up. Brilliant!! Smile

bibbitybobbityhat · 16/10/2011 10:30

Where the hell is the op?? I started off finding some of her routine and her delivery quite funny but did question her use of the word bitches and the violent imagery. She has had a huge long thread with loads of feedback. And she can't even be arsed to come back and engage. What a waste of space!

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 16/10/2011 10:49

She's too busy writing her next routine based on this thread Grin

FlossieFromCrapstonVillas · 16/10/2011 10:53

I don't even think it was posted by her.

WhiteTrash · 16/10/2011 10:54

I liked it! I laughed!

emsy5000 · 16/10/2011 11:03

Oh I really enjoyed that very funny well done!

LadyEvilEyes · 16/10/2011 11:05

I wondered that too Flossie.

rycooler · 16/10/2011 11:08

Of course it wasn't her who posted it - I doubt she even knows about this thread -
And SleepyFergus - you are very funny Smile

bibbitybobbityhat · 16/10/2011 11:09

Oh really? good point Flossie.

bibbitybobbityhat · 16/10/2011 11:10

Can't someone go on Twitter and tweet to her about it (or whatever tf you do over there).

thunderboltsandlightning · 16/10/2011 11:12

Please don't lose your temper Fergus. Getting all FFS is unnecessary.

It's just the weird double standards that are getting to me and that I'm trying to get to the bottom of. You're the one claiming that people who don't like this must want to see men dead, when in fact it's the comedienne who wants to see your blood on the street and thinks you're a smug complacent bitch, just because you post at Mumsnet. She's the extremist, not the people who are objecting. So why is it the objectors who are getting it in the neck. And the only reason I can think of is it because she's on the telly. Because she's not funny. She's dull.

rycooler · 16/10/2011 11:15

No thunderbolt - you're dull.

FlossieFromCrapstonVillas · 16/10/2011 11:16

She doesn't appear to be on Twitter.

Awright, Ry, keep yer wig on Smile
