I love this forum so much , I wrote an entire routine about it . Would you like to see / hear it ?

OP posts:
FlossieFromCrapstonVillas · 15/10/2011 20:14

I think the laughter was canned.

NotTheBlinkingGruffaloAgain · 15/10/2011 20:16

love it

TethHearseEnd · 15/10/2011 20:24

I really wanted to love it.

But it didn't make me laugh. So I don't.

bibbitybobbityhat · 15/10/2011 20:30

Not been on mumsnet all day - did op ever come back?

If not, then that is pretty rubbish. And cowardly.

prioneyes · 15/10/2011 20:35

Funny as fuck. She's caricatured this place. It's what comics do. Who cares, it made me smile. I can take it. But then I don't fit her demographic, maybe it stings more if you do ... Wink

yadahyadah · 15/10/2011 20:36

Very good. I like it. Chardonnay and self pity, indeed.

adamschic · 15/10/2011 20:44

It wasn't really funny, sorry OP, some bits were slightly nod along with a smile but not worthy of the belly laughs on the sound track. They sounded canned.

I didn't like the ending, using the words bitches and hunting down, you sounded a bit hysterical at that point.

Alliwantisaroomsomewhere · 15/10/2011 20:55

Liked it, but the canned laughter was annoying.

MULLYPEEP · 15/10/2011 21:01

loved it. did not go far enough.

Northernlurker · 15/10/2011 21:11

'Why do feminists get so worked up about something so utterly harmless'

Because it isn't harmless. Oppression based on gender continues to be a real fact in our society and this sort of crap just feeds in to that. It's misogyny that embraces violence against women as a norm. It's not 'funny'. It's vile.

Miette · 15/10/2011 23:55

Excellent. Loved the routine.

winniethepug · 16/10/2011 06:41

Blushing but laughing.

FearfulYank · 16/10/2011 06:54

I like Boden (mini) anyway and Pinot and Cath Kidston and I don't give a feck who knows it. :) And you're funny, OP.

BupcakesandHaunting · 16/10/2011 08:57

That was painful.

carriedababi · 16/10/2011 09:12

It was quite funny. But not great. Jeep working on it. There's lot more funny thing you can rip the lee out of on here. Esp unlawful and Xmas stuff, yes def do a gag about the spelling police

SleepyFergus · 16/10/2011 09:26

The Fems have predictably got their knickers, NO, their undergarments, in a twist.

Hang on, undergarments suggest oppression of garments.

Oh feck!

rycooler · 16/10/2011 09:28
Grin
Aislingorla · 16/10/2011 09:30

Agree with Sleepy.
It is funny and describes some (I said 'some', not all ) MNetters very aptly!

AnaisB · 16/10/2011 09:31

Was OK - this thread could provide some more inspiration.

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 16/10/2011 09:33

Real women don't wear any form of underwear. Underwear is a misogynistic symbol of the oppressive patriachal society that women have been forced to accept in an attempt to prevent their free expression.
