And it's ALWAYS old people or business men.

I want to scratch all their cars and kick their tyres!

I am confused - surely it is harder to get a bigger child out of a car than a newborn? Babies are small - they just slide through the gap and you hardly need to open the door at all.

In fact, what we need is spaces specifically for cars containing 2 or more adults with enough space all round for everyone to exit the car without getting stuck in the door and feeling all fat and embarrassed.

twotestickles, you are my hero :) That pissing story made me arf

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 26/09/2011 20:56

The only thing that annoys me about P&T parking is that my local Tesco insist on moving all the trollies with baby seats right next to the trolly bay next to the P&T spaces. So, if like me, you cant get into the P&T spaces and park elsewhere, you have to trek for the trolly, carying a very sticky, dribbly and bewildered four month old and a gangly legged five year old. I see the Tesco trolly people fetching the trollies and putting them back in the special spots, just leave the shagging trollies in all the bays!!

Our P&T spaces (and disabled spaces) are always full in the morning, all by people nipping in for sarnies for their lunch. Never see any babies in there other than the one I'm lugging across the car park!

CoralRose · 26/09/2011 20:56

Slide through the gap... I must be doing it wrong.

Nowtspecial · 26/09/2011 20:57

On a quiet day I just ignore the nasty selfish lazy buggers, unless you are a jonny flash in a poncey car lighting up a big spliff, then I'll report you to the desk at 8pm when all other kiddie spaces are free.

TandB · 26/09/2011 20:57

coralrose I have yet to see a thread by a dad moaning about the lack of p&c spaces. I have also never seen a dad whinging about folding a pram on a bus.

Unfortunately the "you can't possibly expect me to manage. I have a CHILD don't you know" rants seem to be rather the domain of mums. Not sure why.

carabos · 26/09/2011 20:58

GetOrf - had kids in the 90s and had it tough ? Pah - in the 80s when we had kids we still got our P45 when we went on maternity leave, disposable nappies were a twinkle in someone's eye and the butcher used to deliver on a bike. We'd have thought p&c parking spaces were t'sort of thing that soppy southerners would have. Wink

Where the heavens has the OP gone?

gordyslovesheep · 26/09/2011 20:59

if you can't park in a normal space and get out without causing damage to other cars then seriously stop driving!!!

I don't get that problem I really don't

hiccymapops · 26/09/2011 21:00

I don't think anyone has said they deserve bigger spaces, or are better than anyone else. But I don't understand all this kicking off about the spaces. I use them if they're free, much easier with babies and toddlers for me (and my dodgy parking Grin). But if I don't have the dc's with me, I wouldn't use them, and I don't see why any able bodied person without children would. Shoot me now.

Glad you clarified the 13 children bit. I thought you must be crackersGrin.

ShellyBoobs · 26/09/2011 21:01

then I'll report you to the desk at 8pm when all other kiddie spaces are free.

In the expectation that they'll do what? Hmm

Ooh, that would be ever so scary. Grin

twotesttickles · 26/09/2011 21:05

Isn't it great though OP that you have the opportunity to feel superior over someone else who is abusing the P&T spaces.

I'm going to go to Sainsburys at 2am and paint 'Mini', 'Ford' 'Rustbucket' 'Boy racer' etc randomly on all the spaces. Then provide a space for 'hot men' and one for 'knackered people' and see who parks in each. Grin

Just as an experiment you know.

naturalbaby · 26/09/2011 21:06

not the BB ishoos as well!

you could always just leave the kids in the car?

twotesttickles · 26/09/2011 21:06

Well everyone knows supermarkets keep a car removal truck parked next to the petrol station to remove the cars of such evil people and charge them several hundred pounds to give it back.

twotesttickles · 26/09/2011 21:07

That was for kungfupanda obv. Grin

TandB · 26/09/2011 21:07

twotest - I heard they crush them. Shock

Andrewofgg · 26/09/2011 21:09

How about Middle-aged bloke, married, but doing the family shop, son grown up, boring family car, doesn't really care where he parks?
