And it's ALWAYS old people or business men.

I want to scratch all their cars and kick their tyres!

OP posts:
GetOrfMo1Land · 26/09/2011 20:27

I park in them all the time without children because I am too lazy to walk the extra 20 feet and it means that I can park lopsided because of the luxurious amount of space.

I then saunter through the car park laughing, yes laughing in the faces of harassed mothers trying to find a car parking space.

CoralRose · 26/09/2011 20:28

The thing that I don't get on all these threads, is all the 'melting baby' 'marketing gimmick' remarks.

They are extra wide so you can get small children in and out easier, so when Mr Single Bloke In A Flash Car parks there to avoid his mortgage on wheels getting a scratch, I will seethe as I struggle to get 3 under 5's out of the car without putting a massive dent in the car next to me.

Nothing to do with laziness, a sense of entitlement or melting babies.

GetOrfMo1Land · 26/09/2011 20:28

Having children isn't hard work.

It's a piece of piss. Especially with a car. try doing your shopping on the bus. Smile

Maybe you'd be better doing your grocery shopping online. You do seem to have some anger ishooos...

Andrewofgg · 26/09/2011 20:30

I'd rather tattoo my own eyeballs than park in a P & T spot but I can't get angry about it. But you do have to admire the bottomless pit of energy which this forum finds to waste on this topic, don't you?

GetOrfMo1Land · 26/09/2011 20:31

It's an Indian summer this week, and I have some time off. I might park my car across 2 spaces, and then take a deckchair and set up camp in the third, reading my novellas and laughing at the poor stymied mummies.

usualsuspect · 26/09/2011 20:31

Children shouldn't be allowed in supermarkets

gordyslovesheep · 26/09/2011 20:31

well if the selfish old take the spaces that leaves you free totake a disabled space - I mean having children is - like - exactly the same as having a disability - it's so ruddy hard to walk with a small child - you NEEEEEEED to be by the door

seriously

SHOP ON LINE pours large vodka

CoralRose · 26/09/2011 20:31

Oh, I forgot (in the heat of my rant), OP - YABU for putting PPL

BatsUpMeNightie · 26/09/2011 20:32

I must remember to ask my Mum how she managed with 3 under the age of 5 in the late sixties. I suspect her answer will be that she just bloody well got on with it and that was that.

Do stop being so damned precious about parking bays please!

GetOrfMo1Land · 26/09/2011 20:33

Me and Riven know what's what.

We had children in the 90s when it was all different. Shitty buses, no priority seating, no parking spaces, no well designed buggies, nowt.

You youngsters don't know yer BORN.

gordyslovesheep · 26/09/2011 20:33

I like to LIE accross a last space - with no kids AND NO CAR because I truely AM a revolutionary

Andrewofgg · 26/09/2011 20:33

God Almighty, gordyslovesheep, you must really enjoy the feel of a flamethrower . . .

CoralRose · 26/09/2011 20:33

gordy - see my post above please.

The P&T spaces at my local ASDA Waitrose are miles away from the door, it's not about that.

worraliberty · 26/09/2011 20:33

Sirzy · 26/09/2011 20:34

Daisy I park there sometimes without DS in the car. I have arthritis and when my knee is at its worse I NEED the extra door room to get in the car without being in agony. Im not ashamed and will carry on doing it when needed!

twotesttickles · 26/09/2011 20:34

'children shouldn't be allowed in supermarkets' Grin

gordyslovesheep · 26/09/2011 20:35

Coralrose what IS it about then - because no one NEEDS P+C spaces!

I manage with my three quiet easily

twotesttickles · 26/09/2011 20:35

YABU - you should of course park in the disabled bays if the P&T spaces are full.

Grin
CoralRose · 26/09/2011 20:35

Yeah, well, I had 13 kids under 6, no pushchair, and I had to walk to the supermarket.

But I still get annoyed with the rudeness of childless people nabbing a space.

BatsUpMeNightie · 26/09/2011 20:35

CoralRose - what is it about then? Can only be entitlement in which case - pffffffft.

thederkinsdame · 26/09/2011 20:36

What are you, traffic lord?
