AIBU to shoplift from Superdrug?

sassyminder · 18/07/2011 22:04

I have been using this cream eye shadow for ages. I can find it only on Superdrug.
First it was from one company that does not make it anymore so I had to move on to another more expensive..3x more expensive...anyway I was happily buiyng it always when I neede but could not bring myself to stock it because would feel guilty as the thingy is nearly £15 (it is a small round pot of eye cream shadow!)
Anyway, last time I went to Superdrug just to buy it as I was runing out, and could not find my colour...so I asked the lady who works in the make up session if there was any similar product from other maker and she said, no there wasnt and that maker would also stop making that product and they would not receive NONE anymore...it is all finished.
I could not help myself, I mean..I helped myself with the tester one that was there intacted...opened but new...
Now, it looks like I am the only person in the world who likes that thing doesn't it?

duckdodgers · 18/07/2011 23:09

QueenofJacksDreams · 18/07/2011 23:09

Most expensive eyeshadow in Superdrug is [http://www.superdrug.com/browse/mu_eyes_eyeshadow?ex=co_wizr-locayta&collate=ivtype&collate=brand&collate=price&collate=category&collate=pdxtpromotext&fieldcatrestrict=xancestorid&termtextcatrestrict=shop&typecatrestrict=exact&fieldrtype=type&termtextrtype=invt&typertype=exact&fieldpcatid=pcatid&typepcatid=exact&termorder=catrestrict%3Artype%3Apcatid&template=wz_locayta&pagenum=1&perpage=20&threshold=0&spellcorrect=1&datasource=superdrugen&setsortorder=price,name&setsortprice=descending&setpagenum=1 £9.99]]

QueenofJacksDreams · 18/07/2011 23:09

Buggernuts £9.99 Better?

ronx · 18/07/2011 23:11

Since when has superdrug sold £15 eyeshadows? Hmm

Sl1nkyMalinki · 18/07/2011 23:11

Queen, I'm loving the fact that I'm not the only person who had to go and check Superdrug's website Grin

Chipsycheese · 18/07/2011 23:11

Oooooooohhhhhh! bubblesincoffee coffee shimmer lipstick was my fave too, loved it...those were the days.
Apply a few layers of that and put a mini skirt on. Job done.

BumWiper · 18/07/2011 23:17

You like to have spunk coloured eyes?Confused

bubblesincoffee · 18/07/2011 23:19

Had to be an A line mini skirt though! With knee highs Grin

michelleseashell · 18/07/2011 23:24

QueenofJacksDreams · 18/07/2011 23:28

wishicouldleavethemoron · 18/07/2011 23:31

LOL OP

PaintedToenails · 18/07/2011 23:46

NettoSuperstar...you stole from Harrods? How did you pull that off? I got thrown out on my ear asked to leave once for trying to take a picture of the hideous Diana and Dodi Dance With A Bird Statue!

I agree. If you're going to shoplift, do it from somewhere that's worth getting caught in. Plus, you can usually oodles of discontinued make up ranges on Ebay.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 18/07/2011 23:48

OP may be you can find a colour you like here
Bobbi Brown

There are other white and silvery cream eyeshadows out there you really don't need to steal!

That took me all of 2 mins to find on t'internet so stop stressing and start shopping.

MrsFlittersnoop · 18/07/2011 23:51

LOL, OCD

alowVera · 19/07/2011 00:01

Was gonna consider giving a "shop lifting is theft" lecture, but now cannot as I am too busy laughing at the fact that you nicked the tester.

AmberLeaf · 19/07/2011 00:06

YABVVVU for wearing white eyeshadow.

seasalt · 19/07/2011 00:10

But why would they have a brand new tester of a product that no longer exists?

Fifis25StottieCakes · 19/07/2011 00:14

do you shoplift to order?

I have a list

Glitterandglue · 19/07/2011 02:21

Aside from the shoplifting, as I think that's been covered (not that it should have needed to be...) - why did they have a tester of something they couldn't sell, because they didn't have any left? That's what's baffling me. Confused

allhailtheaubergine · 19/07/2011 05:51

Well I think YANBU OP.

You wanted it, so you took it. What's wrong with that? I was in Dorothy Perkins earlier and they had a really nice scarf that went with my skirt, so I took it. It really went with my skirt.

And sometimes at Tesco I just push my whole trolley of shopping out to the carpark and put everything straight into the boot without bothering to go through the checkout. I figure they save in carrier bags. And anyway, I would rather spend my money on fun things, not groceries!

Sorry you're getting such a pasting on this thread. I'll check back later, but first I'm popping next door to lift a couple of nice Bay trees my neighbour has put outside her front door. They would look so nice outside my door.

mycatoscar · 19/07/2011 05:57

what will you do when the tester runs out?

either you are a troll or you are a thief. Either way YABU.

TiggyD · 19/07/2011 09:42

Stealing from big companies doesn't hurt anyone. Unless what you nick tips them over from a £999,999 loss to a cool million, which prompts a manager to sack a few staff, one of whom get depressed and kills themselves.
