either
" cargo pants dad"
or " rucksack we are on a day trip " mum
or " hassled i didnt have time to brush my hair" slighy hippy mum (with long haired kids)
OR " wheres your sunhat white stuff a line skirt droopy mum"

sorry.

I will now keep mine for washing line run only

I love my birkies, soo comfy.
only wear then as slippers at home though, to protect my toes from my clumsy self.

noddyholder · 26/06/2011 15:37

I don't often go 'out' in them mostly wear around the house I prefer flip flops

cybboid · 26/06/2011 15:38

and your crocs M'lady

noddyholder · 26/06/2011 15:39

I completely hold my hands up and say I love my crocs they are gold as well Shock

Adair · 26/06/2011 15:39

So what instead? I like these anti-fashion

Really, sandals confuse me. Have leanings towards old-lady ones.

VeraGood · 26/06/2011 15:40

i keep finding sandals i bought in previous years
just found some gold strappy cheapoid ones

I've got croc wellies that are so warm with fur in them I brought them 3 years ago when we went skiing and they were warmer than moonboots

You should LISTEN to me.

always.

MayorNaze · 26/06/2011 15:46

i will not never ever wear crocs

nor is anyone else in my house allowed them

VeraGood · 26/06/2011 15:46

MAMAG

tell us what led you to your conclusion?

manicmummyoftwo · 26/06/2011 15:47

Totally agree OP. I would also say that 'FitFlops' fall into the same category. Soooooo pleased I didn't get some.

Adair · 26/06/2011 15:50

So WHAT INSTEAD??

I will buy the ones in the link if you don't tell me what to wear instead,

I AM WARNING YOU!!

VeraGood · 26/06/2011 15:50

just flat strappy sandals i had on today.

OP posts:
MamaG · 26/06/2011 15:52

The thick, orthopaedic sole
The HORRIBLENESS of those penisy ones, i.e the not-one-strap ones
The fact that most wimmin who wear them have hairy legs and moustaches

VeraGood · 26/06/2011 15:55

yes the penis ones

OP posts:
weimy · 26/06/2011 15:58

love my birkis, am not a mum, am young, no moustache and smooth sexy legs! It is the style you choose and how you wear them.

TrilllianAstra · 26/06/2011 16:01

I am wearing fitflops today. They are like flipflops, but uglier, more expensive, and with more placebo effect. Comfy though :)

TrilllianAstra · 26/06/2011 16:01

The only way to make a shoe not be the choice of "droopy mom" is for all of you non-droopy-moms to wear them frequently and in public.

Deaddei · 26/06/2011 16:03

Mine are in the wardrobe as they HURT.
I am wearing fit flops today because they are so comfy. I am also wearing shorts as no one can see me.

Adair · 26/06/2011 16:06

Ah fuck it, am wearing mine til I find something else i like more.

Just looked at pages and pages of sandals. No inspiration.

MamaG · 26/06/2011 16:10

I don't care what they're worn with, i have NEVER seen someone in a pair and thought htey looked good. NEVER

noddyholder · 26/06/2011 16:33

But mamag that is only you. I have never seen anyone in a pair and thought they looked bad!

reelingintheyears · 26/06/2011 16:56

Mine are lovely and comfortable.

They are Papillio.

PrettyCandles · 26/06/2011 16:57

If I had any other choice I would never wear Birkenstocks again for the rest of my life. I think they are just this side of vile. However, I dojmot have any other choice, because I cannot afford several hundred pounds for several pairs of the sort of orthotics that would fit into most shoes, and in any case most sandals won't accommodate orthotics.

The main cause of my collapsed arches is pregnancy, so were I not a mum I would probably not wear Birkenstocks. But even were I the most elegant-dressing career-focused mother, I would still have wear Birkenstocks because there is nothing else.

Though perhaps if I was an elegant-dressing career-focused mother, I would be able to afford the sort of orthotics I need in order to wear beautiful shoes.

The OP is offensive smuggery.
