to ask who the fuck are the moderators on here and suggest that unless there was a very good reason to delete the HSBC thread - and I would like a very good reason - then this site is over-moderated

I don't believe it's moderated at all.... threads are dealt with via complaints by board users.

If you don't like it..... and all that....

allnewtaketwo · 24/06/2011 19:26

Are you allowed so say what the HSBC thread was about?

thisisyesterday · 24/06/2011 19:27

it isn't moderated at all, let alone over-moderated.

Glitterknickaz · 24/06/2011 19:28

MNHQ did actually post the reason they were deleting the thread a short while before doing so, or did you not read that, OP?

activate · 24/06/2011 19:28

of course its moderated

was on a thread

thread has now gone (about an hour later)

moderation surely?

OP posts:
Pagwatch · 24/06/2011 19:28

People must have complained.

Were you all being very bad?

Do you want to sit in the corner and have a good think about your behaviour Missy?

activate · 24/06/2011 19:28

No I was not here

what was the reason in a nutshell?

OP posts:
M0naLisa · 24/06/2011 19:29

why have people complained about a HSBC bank thread?

HSBC are wankers!!!! worst bank i have ever had the pleasure of dealing with!!

£275 in Bank charges per MONTH!!!!!!

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 24/06/2011 19:29

I bank with HSBC - is there something I need to know about them? PM if necessary. Ta.

Marne · 24/06/2011 19:29

lol, i can't believe that thread was deleted, yes the title was a bit harsh but so obvious that you didnt really wish that on the staff (you were just slightly pissed off). Makes me laugh how people can come on here and slag desabled people off and people that claim beniffits (100's of people complain yet most of the posts/threads remain) but some one comes on here and has a slight rant about the shit staff in HSBC and people take offence and the threads pulled Hmm.

Glitterknickaz · 24/06/2011 19:29

the thread title was (and I quote MNHQ) "beyond the pale"

OrangeHat · 24/06/2011 19:30

Not moderated.

Threads go phut when people complain and draw thread to attention of MNHQ. They do not delete lightly Grin

What was it about?

Pumpernickel10 · 24/06/2011 19:30

Do one was bad, not even me for once Grin
They delete that thread but took them days to delete the still birth thread!
MNHQ sort your priorties out

worraliberty · 24/06/2011 19:30

This is the least moderated site I've ever been on.

I was actually embarrassed the other day when my 8yr old walked up behind me and said "Omg, who would write that on the internet?"

He was pointing to a thread title with the word Cu*t in it Hmm

Glitterknickaz · 24/06/2011 19:32

I'd say there were complaints about various elements of the title and the OP tbh. It was a bit take your pick.

thisisyesterday · 24/06/2011 19:32

what i mean is, there are no moderators.

we all moderate... if there is a problem it is flagged up

MN have been on the receiving end of legal action before, and I don't blame them for removing things that could be considered slanderous/libellous (i forget which is which)

activate · 24/06/2011 19:34

wasn't my thread

the outlandish title about all HDBC staff dying in pools of their own blood

made me laff

OP posts:
Jonnyfan · 24/06/2011 19:35

Startled that an 8 yr old would know the word cu*t !

activate · 24/06/2011 19:35

so CUNT is OK and dying in a pool of blood isn't

nothing so odd as folk is there?

and yes this place is moderated because innocuous and rather fun threads are removed because of the lowest common denominator?

OP posts:
sb6699 · 24/06/2011 19:36

FFS, I have been on here several times today and still managed to miss all the excitment.

thisisyesterday · 24/06/2011 19:37

actually that sounds like a fairly vile title. that really makes you laugh??

things have been deleted for having cunting in the title before.

MN cannot see every single thread that is started, they rely on people reporting stuff. so if a thread has cunt in the title and you don't like it then report it, just like people did when it came to HSBC staff dying in pools of blood.

bewbs123 · 24/06/2011 19:37

perspective much?

Disasterpiece · 24/06/2011 19:38

This will probably get pulled soon too as it is a thread about a thread...

worraliberty · 24/06/2011 19:38

Well he's not stupid Jonnyfan he's heard it shouted out in the street before...and being repeatedly screamed by a banshee woman in the market who was having a row with a stall holder.

activate I have no idea about the pool of blood thing..I didn't see the thread in question.

Glitterknickaz · 24/06/2011 19:39

Let me see. The thread stated the OP's desire that several thousand people die a particularly unpleasant death (as verified by health care professionals that had witnessed such deaths) on the basis of being employed by HSBC. It also criticised certain HSBC staff because of where they were born and live, which some (including me) considered racist.
