Hi there,
We deleted the thread as the title was, in our opinion, beyond the pale.
LeQueen please do feel free to repost your OP but please be mindful of our Talk guidelines

Hi Activate
Introducing your moderators at MNHQ (in no particular order)...

Our policy, in general, is to let the conversation flow but we do have a few rules and guidelines. We really don't like deleting things as a rule but your thread title and OP about HSBC staff was reported as falling into the "beyond the pale" category and we agreed that it was a bit much. Sorry to those who disagree. It's always a judgement call but hopefully you'll have a clearer idea next time .
Generally we don't watch every thread but rely on members to report things they think are not on, many thanks as ever for you vigilance.
Night, peace and love to all.

@Gooseberrybushes
You're quite right. My mistake. Apologies.
JustineMumsnet · 25/06/2011 00:11
@LeQueen
We should have a History Thread...
I could contribute at least four reasons why King John angered the Barons circa 1200 if that's helpful?
JustineMumsnet · 25/06/2011 00:12
I don't care about the thread anymore, and it was me who started it
Good. Me neither .
JustineMumsnet · 25/06/2011 00:18
Go on then, give us your reasonings...[gets comfy, puts kettle on...]
Oh bugger.
OK
JustineMumsnet · 25/06/2011 00:25
John murdered his nephew Arthur, Count of Brittany, is that who you mean? Richard named Arthur his heir before he died, but Arthur was just a teenager, so the barons sided with John's claim, aided and abetted by William De Broase and William Marshall backing John, too.
Yes I think it was Arthur (elder brother's son is a nephew, yes?) - and possibly it was the French Barons who were cross with him on that one (or even Phillip II?)
Hmm, sure there is a fourth reason though... I shall sleep on it.

@ChaosTrulyReigns
I didn't .

Ironic, that after John died, Isabella married Hugh's son, and had umpteen children with him
So many Isabelles/Isabellas - they could have done with the baby name finder...
