My DH thought it was so funny that instead of my usual towels I picked up tena lady instead by mistake. He now thinks I've a bladder weakness and told DD I'll be wearing nappies soon. Not had a weak bladder since I was pregnant. Silly man.
Luckily I saw the funny of side of it unlike my poor friend who sat there openmouthed.

i agree we could all probably sit on the loo all night crying about things but now we have an outlet to let it go , no pun intended ,so lets just carry on shuv a tena lady between our legs and keep laughing , and yes my back wont last much longer till i have a wheel chair , but there you go its life .x

katvond · 03/06/2011 21:09

How was that offensive? It doesn't matter if it's occasional or regular incontinence to the sufferer it's the same supercal.

supercal · 03/06/2011 21:09

Not dismissing your feeling ashamed (and your right not to), but really, an incontinence problem during pregnancy and the occasional leak beyond that is PEANUTS compared to a permanent, severe incontinence problem.

(Or should I saw PEE-nuts. Ho fucking ho.)

katvond · 03/06/2011 21:11

I can't find the thread either Human have looked to no avail could someone post a link please

OP posts:
libbylobs · 03/06/2011 21:11

yes but dont knock someone for laughing about it if it helps

katvond · 03/06/2011 21:12

Maybe supercal and I can bet you if I suffered everyday I'd still be laughing as to me it nothing to be ashamed of. But thats me.

katvond

Hi, hopefully this should make you piss yourself laughing. I have been to the hospital today with my Mum, she was diagnosed with dementia. I'm in bits, yet I expect you think it is hilarious. FFS, why has this thread not been removed?

TheHumanCatapult · 03/06/2011 21:13

Supercal yes there is a differance between permant or pregnancy incontinence especially if you suffer with permant incontinence it can be get on your nerves a bit for somepeople

But to the suffer at the time there is no differnace

libbylobs · 03/06/2011 21:15

katvond
i bet you wish you hadnt started this . But so glad you did its helped me thanks.x

TheHumanCatapult · 03/06/2011 21:15

Becuase wickedwendy we are talking about incontinence in general now so maybe it will raise the profile of it which is no bad thing No matter how it was started

supercal · 03/06/2011 21:15

I'm not knocking someone for laughing about it, libbylobs

I don't think a man mocking a woman (albeit in jest) in front of her child and friend (who ^didn't find it funny - hence the thread) is amusing. Don't knock me because I came onto an AIBU thread with a difference of opinion to the OP (and you).

shineoncrazydiam0nd · 03/06/2011 21:15

The only thing I object to is the hideous title.

mum765 · 03/06/2011 21:16

New thread for those having/had posterior or anterior repairs, TVT, rectocele and all the other down below stitchups (329 Posts)

sorry not good at links - but it's this one - currently no 3 down on general health.

katvond · 03/06/2011 21:16

Have I took the piss out of dementia suffers, no! I took the piss out of ME no one else. I won't feel bad about it either. Believe it or not some posters on here have said this lighthearted thread helped them.

OP posts:
katvond · 03/06/2011 21:18

Thanks mum

TheHumanCatapult · 03/06/2011 21:18

btw supercal If i wanted to get on my high horse about whether it is worse permant or prenancy realted .Well you think urine incontinence is bad try being double incontinet .

But be it urine or double incontinence temporary or permant .for the suffer it is a scarey thing especially when you do not know anyone else with it or who admits to it.

So by being in AIBU well least we are talking about it

supercal · 03/06/2011 21:18

meant to add: mocking her by calling her 'mommy pissy pants'. Urgh. Just urgh.

libbylobs · 03/06/2011 21:21

ok super you are right about doing it in front of children is wrong ,but i hav to laugh or i will cry and then wet myself , in the end we are all entitled to our own opinion.x

supercal · 03/06/2011 21:21

THC - urinary incontinence is far more spoken about than faecal incontinence. It is the latter that is the real taboo, and far harder to treat or get treatment for. You have my sympathies.

TheHumanCatapult · 03/06/2011 21:21

Thank you

m um765

That thread I would not even look at becuase it is not relervent to me or my incontinence and I am sure I am not the only one who would not have looked at that thread .I would tend to glance an dthink oh thats somepeople who have suffered complications mostly after childbirth even if ongoing

supercal · 03/06/2011 21:23

why don't you start your own thread, THC? Seriously.

supercal · 03/06/2011 21:23

That was a supportive 'seriously' rather than a sarcastic one, btw Wink

katvond · 03/06/2011 21:23

Yes supercal you are right he should not have said it but it just came out. He's been severally beaten though.

wickedwendy1 · 03/06/2011 21:24

katvond

supercal · 03/06/2011 21:24
