My DH thought it was so funny that instead of my usual towels I picked up tena lady instead by mistake. He now thinks I've a bladder weakness and told DD I'll be wearing nappies soon. Not had a weak bladder since I was pregnant. Silly man.
Luckily I saw the funny of side of it unlike my poor friend who sat there openmouthed.

BooyHoo, am with you all the way on this one.

OP, your thread title was highly offensive, your DH sounds like a charmer, and your mealy-mouthed 'apology' doesn't cut any ice with me.

Carry on laughing...

fit2drop · 03/06/2011 23:56

Have I?? oh I must go look.
I hadn't even realised
thanks for letting me knowGrin

Thats a first, feel like a proper MNer now, Grin
Pity I can't remember what the post was but I guess it wouldnt take Einstein to work out who made a complaint and found it offensive.

and you are wrong because what I DO know is that it would not have be a personal attack,

BooyHoo · 03/06/2011 23:59

katvond see my post of 23.08. the first sentence clearly says that i was happy to drop it at that point. i dont know why you took that to mean there would be further posts from me for you to ignore. you are the one engaging me in further conversation by addressing me in a post only to state taht you will ignore me. Confused

supercal · 03/06/2011 23:59

You might want to ask MN why it was deleted then. I believe they usually send you an email telling you why your post has been deleted, check your inbox.

fit2drop · 04/06/2011 00:06

Supercal obviously my sarcasm did not come out in my post but to be fair and to use a fabulous phrase I saw on here only the other day but "you have no idea of the enormity of the fuck I do not give"

now be a love and accept my goodnight sweet dreams because this old bird needs some sleep after working two jobs and seriously thinking I am getting too old for this.

Night night to you too BooyHoo, I know your'e watching Wink Wine

supercal · 04/06/2011 00:10

Yep, you're definitely too old for this. After working two jobs why on earth are you piling into a thread that was sort of coming to a resolution? And you say you don't give a fuck. Yeah, right.

Sqee · 04/06/2011 00:10

This also works fit2drop :o :o

fit2drop · 04/06/2011 00:18

oh and before I go . the deleted post was one where I said something about someone not having a sense of humour,
Obviously I was right because you the person didnt see the joke complained and got the post deleted Hmm

I have seen far worse personal attacks on here (MN in general)and they have not been deleted shrugs no big deal

But some people seriously need to make an appointment to see a joke . life is far to short for such ridiculous anality.

Now I seriously am away to my bed

Goodnight ............. both of you Wink

supercal · 04/06/2011 00:27

You really don't give a fuck do you? Look at you coming back and trying to justify your deleted post. You do know that MN make their own decision as to whether posts gets deleted or not, don't you? They have to agree that it's against their criteria to delete it, they certainly don't delete all posts reported to them.

As you are so right at all times, and believe you are too old for this site, why don't you head over to Gransnet? I'm sure they could do with interesting personalities over there.

Oh my it kicked off when I disappeared, almost gutted Wink

Just some things I want to say, for the record Grin
I'm glad the thread got started and believe that OP wasn't out to intentionally offend.

I got to a point where I was virtually housebound apart from going to work, couldn't go out unless I knew where there were toilets and couldn't stray far from them. It's only been the past month or two where I've started being able to relax and take control of it. I didn't tell anybody and only my boyfriend knew about it, it nearly destroyed our relationship. (Which ended in the end anyway, bladder problems contributing).

Being able to laugh about it makes it easier to handle as I said before, also, knowing that there is another person my own age makes it easier to deal with, and I wouldn't have discovered that if this thread hadn't been started.
Being 22 with incontinence problems and no reason for them is hell imo. None of your friends understand, your doctors don't take you seriously no matter how many times you go begging to be seen by a specialist and social lives become non-existant because you can't drink anything but water and can't get a taxi home at the end of the night for fear you'll piss yourself in the back of it. Your sex life also suffers and sex is something I want to do without worry!

And as the others have said, posting on this part of the forum has raised awareness for incontinence, more so than posting in Health would.

In regards to sympathetic threads about incontinence, they are good, but lighthearted jokey ones are also good for some people. It's all about how the individual copes with things, not everybody with that problem as we all do things differently.

Human: Thank you for posting, your attitude is inspiring :) Thank you for posting :)
