to think that some people would rather work all the hours they can and earn shed loads of money than earn less and spend quality time at home with the family or doing hobbies and having a relaxing time?

' I am an idiot who deserves all she got but I am not that much of an idiot.

Bollocks did you, nobody ever does.

flippinada · 03/05/2011 18:56

I don't think this thread should be pulled actually.

I think it should stand so people can see exactly what kind of person the OP is.

Xstitch - you're absolutely NOT an idiot and you didn't deserve it.

PeachyAndTheArghoNauts · 03/05/2011 18:58

Destiny is contributed to but there are so many things one can't control: i;ve just been told a child of mine may have ASD: for the third time (ds1 and ds3 already dx'd). DH was amde redundant and is now self employed so our income shrank massively overnight almost- well it all happened within a year or so.

Now, we can try and build the ladders back out again (for us that's study and retraining) but it takes time, which is where otehr people having empathy is remarkably helpful.

goodbyemrschips · 03/05/2011 18:58

The cheating/rape/dead partners and babies were all a step too far I feel, but I am still entitled to an opinion.

Then you judge me and say I am unhappy but I am not allowed to judge others.

Double standards there.

I will bow out now, the thread can stay or be pulled.

So is that an apology then to x-stitch ? I do think she deserves one from you .

And for the record this isn't a clever controversial thread as you seem to think . It is nothing that hasn't been said before .

xstitch · 03/05/2011 19:03

People aren't making asssumptions about the OP exactly. More coming to some conclusions after reading a series of posts.

I certainly think the thead should stand - complete with telling admission that the OP is a "shit stirrer" who enjoys the "fallout".

If the thread remains then anyone who makes the mistake of engaging with this poster can be directed here and read her own words about her own intentions.

And I don't believe for one minute that the OP has actually left the thread.

BlingLoving · 03/05/2011 19:15

It's not just OP, there is someone else on the thread (or namechanger) who I have realised also delights in these wind ups, with op.

You people (stirrers - just clarifying because not sure how smart you are ) are actually sad and pathetic and I am disappointed with myself for getting sucked in.

Xstitch, they aren't worth it. Certainly the (far less) offensive comments they made to me should also be ignored.

xstitch · 03/05/2011 19:19

So true willbury there is nothing original about blaming a rape victim for her rape. I have heard it before.

scottishmummy · 03/05/2011 19:20

lets stick to facts not speculation about trolls, who else said what

fact chips admits she likes "shit stirring"
as she put it just a shit stirrer. I like to watch the fall out it amuses me

not much else to add, other than hope thread isnt pulled

travellingwilbury · 03/05/2011 19:21

I am presuming you know that is bollocks x-stitch ?

xstitch · 03/05/2011 19:30

Yes willbury but some people can be almost as masty as the rapist themselves. Part of the reason so many rapists get away with it. The culture of blaming the victim makes it more difficult for victims to report the follow through with the legal process.

Gooseberrybushes · 03/05/2011 19:33

I'd say they do it to earn enough money for their family to be secure, and also in the hope that they will be able to retire earlier possibly.

travellingwilbury · 03/05/2011 19:34

I know , I think some people always have to justify things in their own mind about what happened because that way it will never happen to them . It is rubbish and you know the truth , hold your head up high and tell anyone who questions you about it to shite off .

I hope you are in a better place now .

TheFlyingOnion · 03/05/2011 19:34

I have been teaching my class of yr 2s since January and there are still at least 4 parents whom I have not yet met (even on parent's evening) as they are always at work.

It strikes me as a bit odd, not because I have any views on how they should be living their lives, but because I spend so long with their kids and have a large part to play in their development, and they're not interested in even meeting me!

Oh well, horses for courses Hmm

TheFlyingOnion · 03/05/2011 19:36

oops didn't read to the end of the thread - seems I have walked into WW3??
