To tell ds9 he can't go in neighbour's garden now they have a swimming pool

Been lurking for a while but this is my first thread. I'd like to know what you wise ladies think. Our back gardens are easily accessible, separated by hedges only so kids can run between gardens to play. DS is a good swimmer but we also have a dd3 who can't swim, so I've told them both they can't go next door but one anymore. DS understands my reasons but it's going to be hard for him when he has to say he can't go over, isn't it?

I have not posted any nonsense at all - I was not "called on nonsense" - I was quite simply attacked for sticking to my point of view. Without any attempt to address my point of view - simple, straightforward, personal attacks, involving sexuality, mendacity, questionable motives and so on.

The posts were deleted because they were abusive. Again - I'm not going to repeat them. They were abusive personal attacks. You want to ask HQ what they said, you go ahead.

Why are we still talking about them? Because people keep denying they existed, in effect calling me a liar. All the screaming and abuse has come from you and others.

Classic bullying behaviour.

Gooseberrybushes · 05/05/2011 21:39

SGB I bet you have no idea what I said about water safety. All you've done is have a go at me.

What nonsense, exactly? What exactly, about supervising nine-year-olds in a pool, is nonsense?

Do enlighten.

lynehamrose · 05/05/2011 21:41

Oh my days....... I may have to ask DH to forcibly remove the pc if this continues..... I am practically dying of laughter here

Gooseberrybushes · 05/05/2011 21:42

You are easily amused. Can't be much going on in there.

squeakytoy · 05/05/2011 21:44

Oh Gob, you are very very funny. I know you dont mean to be, but really you are priceless.

Gooseberrybushes · 05/05/2011 21:45

And you have condoned abuse and bullying. You too are priceless, but in a very different way.

Gooseberrybushes · 05/05/2011 21:46

Do those two posts count as personal abuse? I certainly hope so. Why don't you report them and find out.

Any time now SGB might actually come back with something to say about water safety and about the nonsense that is supervising nine year olds in a pool.

Any time now.

Or maybe not.

Gooseberrybushes · 05/05/2011 21:48

Oh but Beer it should be in classics. The stories of drowning children should particularly entertain.

Gooseberrybushes · 05/05/2011 21:49

copyright - who cares

prettybird · 05/05/2011 21:55

I am now hiding this thread. It keeps on popping up on "Threads I'm on" becasue I posted something that I thought was reasonable way early on (along the lines of macdoodle more recently).

It has got soooo ridiculous - and I am not pointing the finger at Lynehamrose's contribtions. It's Gooseberrybushes that I find laughable in her indefatigability strange.

Gooseberrybushes · 05/05/2011 21:58

It's so easy to join a gang isn't it prettybird?

annawintour · 05/05/2011 21:58

Look I know I said I was off this thread but I am not comfortable with the targeting and laughing at one poster by many other posters. It comes across as a pack mentality.

I don't think you can condone such activity by saying well hey, we are not being racist or disablist here or threatening your wellbeing ... Hmm Hmm

While I don't agree with the patronising tone from HellNoSayItAintSo I think stepping away is an option, it is all getting a bit too creepy for my liking Gooseberry

lynehamrose · 05/05/2011 21:59

You've got such willpower to hide it prettybird

I'm just finding it tooooo funny!

Gooseberrybushes · 05/05/2011 22:01

Anna that's very nice of you and very measured.

annawintour · 05/05/2011 22:02

Funny at someone else's expense...

squeakytoy · 05/05/2011 22:03

Oh get a room you two! Grin

EspressoDoppio · 05/05/2011 22:07

Oh stop squeaky. Stop. That's just made me choke on me tea! Grin

EspressoDoppio · 05/05/2011 22:09

Oh I know I shouldn't but it just has to be done.

Where? Can you show us such a post?

Gooseberrybushes · 05/05/2011 22:09

If that merits a "get a room" then you lot should all be at an extended swingers' party.

Gooseberrybushes · 05/05/2011 22:10

I wonder if "common" counts as abusive.

Gooseberrybushes · 05/05/2011 22:11

well expresso I would but most of them were deleted

have a little think about that, you might get there in the end

Hmm
lynehamrose · 05/05/2011 22:12

I'm just disappointed that this thread is already over 500 posts. We won't be able to post any more once it reaches 1000.

And gooseberrybushes is bound to use up at least 350 of the rest!

Gooseberrybushes · 05/05/2011 22:13

And now I'm going to take Anna's advice.
