These potatoes would be golf ball size.

golf ball size - then two would be suffient.

If you want extra crispy yorkshires - then add an extra egg, as batter mix only states one egg.

cook in muffin style tray for good size and shape

use tiny amount of lard in each muffin section and heat the tray before pouring in the batter mixture

20 minutes with two egg batter
30 minutes one egg batter

i havent got time to read this all the way through its got way too long since my last post however its just reminded me of denise royale cooking christmas dinner... when she says shes only got 6 maris pipers dave suggests cutting them in half. 'i dont want to over face them'

cat64- there is probably less fat on roast potatoes than there is on chips. Chips are small and there are more of them which means that all sides of each chip is coated. Roasties are bigger and although they are cooked in fat, there is overall less surface room for the fat to stick to. Besides, if they're greasy they're being cooked wrongly.

It was all family though!

At least 5 - I love them! Can't stand people who give you two and think this is adequate!
