to ask how many roast potatoes you would have with a roast dinner?

These potatoes would be golf ball size.

Three because I would do mashed potato too.

I have just eaten 8, and my son said it was not possible to eat 8 and the rest of the meal as well.

He was wrong.

I must be abnormal because I will only generally eat two! I'm usually too full to eat any more.

I would do about 12 for my dh of that size (he is unfairly slim).
I would eat 4
Dd would eat 5 (aged 6)

I like your style OP....I can eat a LOT of roast potatoes.....I have Irish lineage {that's my excuse}

My goodness you guys eat a lot of potatoes. I like them too but can't eat so many with other stuff too. Mind boggles at "allow 5 potatoes per adult" :D.

3 but with 2 yorkshires, parnips, carrots, creamy cheesy leeks, gravy and lots of meat

Loads plus DS will eat all Yorkshire Puddings.

I like them in the micro for lunch the next day, too

I'd have 3 normal roasties, but would have 6 if golf-ball-sized.

I find 4 enough but DH and DD would probably eat more.

My spuds are bigger but I could not think of something to size them against.

So I thought golf ball size everyone knows and take my mathematics from there.

I have two ovens. each with three shelves.

10-12 i love food

2-3 per person. I always find this is enough with all the vegetables as well. I can't believe how many some of you eat.l
