Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

ELMO ELMO ELMO*

candleshoe · 05/04/2011 20:19

Try dishwasher powder in it on a hot wash....my appliance handyman told me that one!

valiumredhead · 05/04/2011 20:27

Arghhhhhhhhhhhh elmo nooooooooooooo come back sooooooooooooooon! Sad

You might need to do a couple of hot washes with soda crystals and also use powder for a bit if you are using gel/liquid. Also bung the powder in the drum NOT the drawer. Take out the drawer and give it a really good scrub.

CheerfulYank · 05/04/2011 20:30

Ooh I will try that too, mine has had a bit of an odor to it as well. I've tried a vinegar rinse and it helped a bit but not much :)

candleshoe · 05/04/2011 20:33

Yes - I concur - put powder directly into the drum.
Smile

gomummygo · 05/04/2011 20:55

Come back soon Elmo!!!

Tea, my suggestion is a hot load with a few cups of vinegar, some sodium bicarb and one big towel in it. Best tip I have (if you have a top-loader) is always leave it open between loads. But I suppose whether or not that is workable for you depends on where you laundry is.

Cheerful that's great that DS is back to himself after a good night's sleep! :)

gomummygo · 05/04/2011 20:57

Tiredmumno1 · 05/04/2011 22:52

CheerfulYank · 05/04/2011 23:16

Oh I'm so glad you like it! :) I'd love to see a pic sometime. I will tell DS that the "puppy coat" was a hit :o (He was so proud to choose it.)

Tiredmumno1 · 06/04/2011 15:52

Cheerful you tell your ds, jamie loves it, he had it on for a lil bit earlier, it is a bit big but looked so cute, he will grow into it, hope you are well

The weather is warm here, but i am still wearing my coat, covering my wobbly bits lol

gomummygo · 06/04/2011 18:36

Uh oh...

CheerfulYank · 06/04/2011 19:17

I'm kind of excited about it! :o When I was small (maybe 4) I remember my mother telling me who Princess Diana was and I was Shock as I didn't know princesses still existed! And then she told me that she had a little boy the same age as me and I was fascinated. :)

I think the interesting thing about the monarchy right now is the history of it all...a line to Henry VIII, etc. I think it's fascinating.

So yes, a bit excited but I'm not on that side of the pond. Blush

Tiredmumno1 · 06/04/2011 21:50

I am used to the royal family lol, so its not to exciting, its just 2 people who love one another that are getting married, and i wish them all the best, i think the media go way to far.

Although cheerful i thought princess diana was fab

I will make it fit whatever it is gomummy Grin i am sure it will be fine

gomummygo · 06/04/2011 22:56

That's interesting Cheerful, I hadn't even thought of it being of interest in the US! Blush I remember some part of Diana's wedding being televised here and not understanding why my mother made us stop and watch, but being amazed that she could walk under that dress!

Never thought of that Tiredmum, but I suppose you do get used to it all when it's local! Grin

CheerfulYank · 07/04/2011 00:20

Oh yes gomummy, it was on the cover of People and Entertainment Weekly.

:)

Teaandcakeplease · 07/04/2011 10:04

Hello gorgeous weather here again. How is everyone.

I'm not too fussed about the wedding GoMummy but then I do not read magazines/ newspapers etc Blush

The royals are very local to me - I live 5 mins away from Princess Anne's house (my bro and sis were at school with Peter Philips and Zara). We are only 15 mins away from Charles's pad. I grew up practically next door to Prince and Princess Michael of Kent too! (... they've moved now though since their civil list allowance was cut!) You just can't get away from the Royal Family round here. They do all do alot for local charities though. Smile

Beautiful sun here too!

valiumredhead · 07/04/2011 15:39

Same as Candleshoe - we must live in the same neck of the woods Wink they just seem like rich neighbours Grin

Beautiful today but now so chilly have had to shut the windows and find a cardi!

How is everyone? :)

www.officialroyalwedding2011.org/tag/homepage/page/1 This is the official royal wedding site ... I'm trying to get into the spirit of it ... cos I've got to do organise a royal wedding picnic for school!

Teaandcakeplease · 07/04/2011 19:45

Where does she live? London?

I actually grew up 8 miles from Windsor before moving to Watford in my twenties.

Teaandcakeplease · 07/04/2011 23:25
