Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

Hey all Grin

How is everyone? For some reason this thread takes forever to load on my phone and posting takes ages

Random fact. Yesterday I found a small bag at the park on a bench. Thought oh dear somebody's left it behind, had a look inside but it was kids stuff. Toy mobile phone, lipgloss etc so okay not somebody missing their purse, keys etc. Anyway, happened to notice bag was made out of kangaroo. Bloody kangaroo!! I think that's just awful. Anyway just thought I would share.

Teaandcakeplease · 24/07/2011 19:53

Yeuch! Kangaroo Sad This thread takes forever on my phone as it's almost full but it's ok on my pc.

Kangaroo! Shock

Went swimsuit shopping today. Ugh. There's nothing else I'd rather do less but DH has a business trip coming up and DS and I are going with him. :) There's a water park in the hotel so DS is really excited for that.

elmofan · 25/07/2011 17:55

Kangaroo bag Sad

Oooh this thread is almost full .

cheerful your trip sounds like fun Smile

I have spent all day so far trying to find hotel accommodation for my whole family (9 adults & 7 children) to go on a fishing trip on the river Shannon .
I have my fingers crossed that 1 hotel can accommodate us all and I'm just waiting on them to confirm the booking .

CheerfulYank · 27/07/2011 04:27

We're having a good time- the water park is big and lots of fun. There's an arcade, too, so DS is having a ball. :) We're leaving tomorrow afternoon to get back home in time for T-ball.

Right now DH is giving DS a bath while I watch Dance Moms- I've never seen this show before and I am Shock at it! The things people will put their children through. :(

valiumredhead · 27/07/2011 11:42

Is Dance Moms like Toddlers and Tiaras yanky? I can't believe the pagent mothers on that Shock

Hi Tea < passes Wine > hows things ? are the LO's still getting up very early in the mornings ?

Teaandcakeplease · 31/07/2011 20:27

Yes DS is still waking at 5.30am, sometimes sooner. He was awful at church this morning in creche, they actually asked me to come and get him as he was hurting other children. I'm actually starting to wonder where I've gone wrong with him on days like today! They gave him quite a few warnings and time outs but he was being too aggressive and not sharing/ and or snatching.

Trouble is DD at home can be so mean to him and unkind and I think he's now processing it and doing the same to others. Being in a 2 bed flat with no easy access to a garden does mean I think that they're on top of each other too much. I'm reading again a great book called "Siblings without rivalry" to refresh my artillery of what to do. But some of it is aimed at older children. I think pray maybe the next step tbh! Summer holidays and having them both at home all day is probably making it worse. I do try and get out everyday for some of it, but on a budget it is fairly limited on what we do.

[hugs] Tea x

My two fight a lot too and they are older than your lo's . Yes i think the school holidays add to the stress tbh . Try not to let it get you down too much lovely as your ds is still only a tot and will grow out of this phase and if it makes you feel any better - my ds was kicked out of play school at the age of 3 Blush his teacher expected him to sit and watch barney videos to which my ds would have none of it and she told me not to bring him back as he was too boisterous

Smile xx

CheerfulYank · 01/08/2011 04:08

Aw, Tea . I'm sure it's just a phase but it can be SO frustrating. I'm sure you were looking forward to church time too, which makes it worse. When does your DD go back to school?

I had a lovely weekend with my friends though I did get a terrible sunburn on my back from drunkenly falling asleep on the dock. Blush

valiumredhead · 01/08/2011 15:12

Hello folks!

It's HOT here today! Just spent the day with a lovely Mumsnetter and her girls, I've not seen her for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages so it was lovely to catch up. We went to a water park/playground and the kids had a great time and get lovely and wet!

How is everyone? :)

Tiredmumno1 · 02/08/2011 14:22

Sounds like a lovely day valium Smile

It is sooo hot, cant wait for it to cool a bit

Cheerful, naughty naughty, getting drunk eh Grin sounds like you had a fab time though

Hiya elmo hows things over there Smile

And tea sorry you are having to deal with that at the mo, i have no miracle answers at mo, as we go through the same probs, have you tried reward charts?

valiumredhead · 02/08/2011 18:06

29 her today! Proper scorcher! Just started to rain though so hopefully won't be too hot tonight!

How's everyone? :)

Teaandcakeplease · 02/08/2011 21:06

Thanks for the kind words.

He broke his sisters cup tonight by throwing it at the floor in the kitchen. He is hungry as he wouldn't eat his dinner and I'm not offering an alternative. But he'd let me clean his teeth and been really cooperative until he just grabbed her cup and threw it at the floor when I was warming his bed time milk Sad

He took ages to settle for sleep tonight, luckily DD slept through it all, she'd gone down first after a busy day
