Is there any celebrity well known person that is admired/deemed acceptable by the whole of MN?

I doubt it.

Grin

I'll start by throwing Lauren Laverne and Timmy Mallet into the mix.

Alice Roberts it is on the Origins of Us. I love her.
I did think of Mn when she was being grilled about breastfeeding by that Hunza woman Grin

Good one LeBOF - surely not many could disagree with Susan Sarandon?

zdcgbjm · 01/11/2011 21:01

Kate Adie?

WreckOfTheBeautiful · 01/11/2011 21:07

Actually, as much as I love Bill Bailey, I'm going to change my nomination to Alan Turing.

Bethshine82 · 01/11/2011 21:13

please please can it be boris Johnson?
He's brilliant. He never has a clue what's going on but reminds me of a lovable teddy bear.

WreckOfTheBeautiful · 01/11/2011 21:15

I strongly suspect the loveable buffoon thing is an act. I don't think you get to be in that sort of public position without being extremely shrewd, and consequently I don't trust him a bloody inch.

He is funny though Grin

Oh - I remember this thread - isn't the answer:
F) Dolly Parton
M) David Attenborough except for one person who had some odd objection

I like boris. If it is an act it's a very very good one! I know he is academically very intelligent but he seems to struggle with everyday life!

I love this from Outnumbered re: Boris (not very good quality unfortunately, but I couldn't find a better one of this particular clip)

WreckOfTheBeautiful · 01/11/2011 21:31

Oh, it's a zombie thread Blush

Kate Bush - talented and original, I admire her greatly.

Yes to David Attenborough and Rolf Harris.

Resounding no to Helena BC (tory twerp) and Gok Wan (markets corsets for women and puts them in high heels - nasty misogynist)
