Just happened upon the last one and liked it, so ...

I don't think The King's Speech is that great a film; I think the directing was often unimaginative, cliched and banal and the script obvious. And Helena Bonham Carter wasn't that good.

OP posts:

Well FFS it's a boy. She needs to learn that for the next 10 years AT LEAST there will be many more.

robotlollypopman · 22/03/2011 21:15

Would you really be checking on me allsquare? Then why am I still in this fucking shed?

allsquareknickersnofurcoat · 22/03/2011 21:20

Cause you just want attention !!!!

Lol, we did contemplate ear piercing and a new juicy couture pram... Grin

boosmummie · 22/03/2011 21:24

I kid you not when I tell you I saw someone doing a Daniella Westbrook the other day, only they were top to toe in DIOR. Dior? for a baby? and a buggy? and a bottle. WTF?????? But then again where I am, there are quite a lot of fuckwits just like that. I find it very very hard not to snort as I walk past them.

boosmummie · 22/03/2011 21:26

That's why you're in the shed robot, because the beeping was starting to get a little irksome. After all, it's only batteries and we all know that when batteries are needed we have to wait til the morning as they're never where we believe we left them. Grin

robotlollypopman · 22/03/2011 21:28

Why have a vehicle breakdown service come to rescue me? AA is the sort of battery I need!

allsquareknickersnofurcoat · 22/03/2011 21:29

Oo, I have one!!

Rampant rabbits are crap overrated

boosmummie · 22/03/2011 21:30

Very droll!!!! I suppose when it was time for bed I would consider taking them out of the remote for you...

Pahahahaha allsquare

robotlollypopman · 22/03/2011 21:32

Women's rights have affected the world in a negative way. If they didn't have jobs, there would be more for men and marriages would probably be successful. If they couldn't hold power we wouldn't have had Maggie Thatcher (who also took jobs from good men). Women argue they need equality but humans survived rather successfully for thousands of years without it......

YouTry · 22/03/2011 21:36

Do you know what... before I had DD I thought I'd love to stay at home and be looked after by my DH and not have a job etc etc. I am so glad I didn't hand my notice in. I think being a SAHM is horribly horribly boring, does not take up enough time and is frazzling my brain cells. I can't wait to go back to work.

Also, I've always quite admired Maggie Thatcher.

LadyOfTheManor · 22/03/2011 21:37

Ahh so women being employed means that men can't find wives?
Took jobs from good men? I believe she took ONE position, not several.

My unpopular opinion is:

Women who deny feminism are morons. Which is fine, as that is their choice provided by feminists.

TiggyD · 22/03/2011 21:43

People who circumcise children for anything other than medical reasons should be sent to prison. Same with piercings.

Religious people should be classed as insane and shouldn't be allowed to vote, or hold power due to their condition.

Rich Tea biscuits should be abolished due to their bland and floppy nature when dunked.

NotaMopsa · 22/03/2011 21:50

women are feminists worst enemies

boosmummie · 22/03/2011 21:53

TiggyD you are bang on about Rich Tea biscuits. Give me a Hobnob any day. And I'm pretty sure that HobNobs would agree with me there.

And yup and yup.

When DD3 was a baby (not all that long ago really) she actually LOOKED like a little girl and often enough was in pinkish stuff. But still the Spanish would look at me and her and ask "Niña" or Niño"?? After about 3 months I realised it was because she didn't have hers ears pierced, so they assumed I was dressing a boy in hand me down girly stuff. All Spanish little girls have their ears done very soon after birth....And an Argentinian friend was asking the midwives which one would pierce her daughter's when she had delivered..Shock

robotlollypopman · 22/03/2011 21:57

Johnny Vegas is brilliant.

boosmummie · 22/03/2011 22:17

Yeah. He is!

allsquareknickersnofurcoat · 22/03/2011 22:21

Here here

I agree with RLPM and Boos

Grin
TiggyD · 22/03/2011 22:22

I concur with RLPM and BOOS and ASKNFC.

Opinions like that aren't welcome in this thread. Try to be more unpopular!

boosmummie · 22/03/2011 22:26

But he is NOT attractive. Although if he was slim he would look a bit like Matt Cardle and that is a good thing.....Even if he's younger than acceptable toy boy limits for my age..... But it doesn't stop Rod does it? No. So it shouldn't stop me. Grin

SueWhite · 22/03/2011 22:33

Men who complain about women 'taking jobs' are clearly inadequate and can't take the competition

Salmotrutta · 22/03/2011 22:34

People who moan about mortgage interest rates are deluding themselves if they think they have it tough.
During the 80's recession we were paying 14-15% interest on our mortgage - as was everyone else. Thank your lucky stars it's not that bad - yet!

BaggedandTagged · 23/03/2011 02:40

Slmotrutta- true, but inflation was around 12%. The "real" interest rate is the differential.

Worst case scenario for borrowers- high interest rates, low inflation

Worst case scenario for savers- low interest rates, high inflation.

CheerfulYank · 23/03/2011 05:41

I believe in a higher power and am not stupid or insane. :)

My child is cuter than all of yours. :o

YouTry · 23/03/2011 06:34

Definitely cuter than mine today. Her firmly held unpopular opinion today is that it is time to get up at 5 o'clock!
