Just happened upon the last one and liked it, so ...

I don't think The King's Speech is that great a film; I think the directing was often unimaginative, cliched and banal and the script obvious. And Helena Bonham Carter wasn't that good.

Meh, I'm about to give DS this for lunch, so.... :) It's a treat; I'm very anti-packaged food in general, but DH is gone all week (work convention in Las Vegas) and we're in the middle of a blizzard, so I know when to say when!

Allsquared what season are you on? What's happening? Don't you just want to shag Peter Bishop sideways? Blush That part just came out. Excuse me.

boosmummie · 23/03/2011 17:06

That is the most ridiculous thing I have heard in a while. Erm, I'm sorry, but aren't rats/mice/frogs/small children EXACTLY what snakes eat anyway?????NUTTER.

allsquareknickersnofurcoat · 23/03/2011 17:15

Its starting back tonight after a few months break so TBH I cant remember whats happening! Grin It'll come back once it starts, I'm sure....
I think real Olivia has just come back from the other side, maybe one or two episodes ago?

Just checked the TV guide, the next episode is "the firefly" :)

I'm def enjoying this season more, I think it just took me a while to get into

boosmummie · 23/03/2011 17:15

You evil mother allsquare!!!

Ohhhh CheerfulYank I used to love that (er, not the Scooby Doo version though) when I was late teens - great food when very drunk!!! Not entirely sure I could eat it now though.

And Grin at your Peter Bishop comment!!!

Salmotrutta · 23/03/2011 17:23

allsquare - you're not my SIL are you? Who made us sit through her extensive photograph collection of her at various holiday locations Hmm

And when I say extensive I'm talking literally hundreds. ALL WITH HER IN THEM because she's ego-centric.

allsquareknickersnofurcoat · 23/03/2011 18:30

Possibly salmo , but only if you're male, I only have BILs! Grin

(only the younger thin ones centre around me though!)

Salmotrutta · 23/03/2011 18:35

Phew! Glad you're not her!

Relentlessly cheerful people who are "A glass half-full type of person" or "Bubbly" are guaranteed to hack me off no end. Leave me to my grumpy, cynical wallowing.... OK!!!!

boosmummie · 23/03/2011 20:40

Miserable old bat you are hey!! Grin

Salmotrutta · 23/03/2011 20:48

Yes! I like to warm up slowly to being cheerful - when I encounter a "bubbly" "sunny" person I want to smack 'em one.

Salmotrutta · 23/03/2011 20:51

I used to work with someone like that and (lovely as she really was) she was bloody annoying! I swear she lived in a fantasy dreamland. Grin

NotaMopsa · 23/03/2011 20:53

'gifted' primary age children do not often a gifted teenager make

boosmummie · 23/03/2011 20:53

I understand that totally! I am an optimistic person as a rule but I certainly don't bounce around like some very annoyingly do. I think there's a difference between being optimistic and ramming joy down people's throats?? I would also like to thump said people Grin

boosmummie · 23/03/2011 20:54

That is SO true Nota

Salmotrutta · 23/03/2011 21:01

LOL at ramming joy down people's throats. I wonder what that would look like???

eandemum · 23/03/2011 21:18

I hate Harry Potter films to the books.

eandemum · 23/03/2011 21:20

Obviously the magic of Harry Potter has affected my keyboard. I PREFER Harry Potter films to the books :)

Salmotrutta · 23/03/2011 21:21

Well, you won't get any arguments from me eandemum - I hate the books too. Grin

Salmotrutta · 23/03/2011 21:22

Ah - well it's all crap in my opinion!

boosmummie · 23/03/2011 21:24

Well. You know what I mean Grin.

Salmotrutta · 23/03/2011 21:27

Sure I do boo - but sometimes I visualise phrases in my head Blush and associate words with images.
This is why I have phrases/words I hate and phrases/words I love. Yes, yes, I know I'm weird!! Grin

PawPilot · 23/03/2011 21:32

I think all British comedy TV shows are crap, give me US shows like Friends and Frasier anyday of the week.

boosmummie · 23/03/2011 21:33

I would probably use my fist Grin myself. No, I'm quite like that too!

On another note we have almost got there with out any major ding dongs and those that were borderline we managed to pull back!! Quite clever really!

Ha eandemum I just seen your magic keyboard typing there. I'm with you both on that one as well.

Salmotrutta · 23/03/2011 21:43

PawPilot - I almost (but not quite) concur. I do like things like Black Books, Blackadder, Father Ted ........... which interestingly are not "new".
Still Game (BBC Scotland) is pretty good and Mrs Brown's Boys looks to be a promising (caught a wee bit of it the other night).
