Victoria Beckham did she use gender selection IVF?

Saw in paper you can select sex of your baby and it's only £14,000. They have been talking about having a girl for a very long time and now it is revealed that they are!I just find it fishy! £14 grand to them is nothing and she could keep trying. AIBU?

well the chances are always 50/50 so who knows?

MissVerinder · 16/02/2011 14:05

Apparently, they have no idea if it's a girl or not. She was on a US chat show last night.

YABU.

She has a 50/50 chance.

If it turns out to be a girl, it could have been IVF, or not, or gender selection, or not, its none of your flaming business.

melikalikimaka · 16/02/2011 14:06

She has been in America for a long time, where she can have it done. It's not allowed here. All of a sudden they are coming back here to live.

I have no idea. Why would I have? WTF would it have to do with you or I anyway???

TheseThingsAreGoodThings · 16/02/2011 14:07

So what if they did?

cantspel · 16/02/2011 14:08

I dont care but cant wait to see what next daft name they come up with

CMOTdibbler · 16/02/2011 14:08

Who cares ? Its up to them what reproductive choices they make

TotorosOcarina · 16/02/2011 14:08

fishy??

I wanted a boy first - got one

wanted another boy 2nd - got one

really, really wanted a DD 3rd, got one

wanted another boy this time, got one.

Its a 50/50 chance.

Its luck. and just because they had 3 boys first doesn't mean they can't naturally have girls.

And even if they did, why the hell do you care?

odd post !

EmmaBGoode · 16/02/2011 14:08

It's possible. Probably quite likely, actually. Especially as they live in LA and most fertility clinics there do PGD for gender selection. Of course, they will never tell if they have as I imagine that they would get a lot of stick.

Oh, Hetty, we are just pontificating. You know, for fun; because we can.

methodsandmaterials · 16/02/2011 14:08

Why do you care?

melikalikimaka, is this something that you are interested in for yourself? You seem to have done your research.

ssd · 16/02/2011 14:10

wouldn't balme them

after having 3 boys I can imagine it would be nice to have a little girl

melikalikimaka · 16/02/2011 14:10

Is it a matter of 'I want, I get!' with her?

OP posts:
fannyfoghorn · 16/02/2011 14:10

I think they have ensured it is a girl and I don't think it is 'just their business' if they did - I think gender selection is immoral.

HettyAmaretti · 16/02/2011 14:11

yy wacky name choices are interesting. Reproductive choices are not. To me at least.

Hope she has a good pregnancy and birth and a healthy child. Just as I would with anyone else. Further than that I couldn't give a fuck.

I think I remember reading that she would name a girl she had Luna.
(Not 100% sure though, I don't usually read celeb articles)

Good luck to her if she did. It's she who is going to have to bear and rear the child, not me.

Gender selection in this manner might become a bit of an issue if the majority of the world have access to it. As that is likely to be down to money I think it's safe to say that we're light-years away from needing to worry about the possible, alleged decisions of a very small minority.

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 16/02/2011 14:15

Op your last postjust proves to me you are after her getting a battering on here, so are you a journo or just a shot stirer?
