.. My darling and generous DH 'forgot' my presents. Apparently they are all in his desk at work. FFS.. At least this year I was clever, and give his nice presents to him this morning, so he knew what he had to match/live up to.
Anyone else get nothing? Oh, and if you DID get thoughtful and expensive presents.. Don't come here and gloat.Envy

Dh has to go and buy mine. He had the money since friday, never mind hey Hmm

DaftApeth · 14/02/2011 09:50

A loaf of bread and a pint of skimmed milk Hmm

nubbins · 14/02/2011 09:51

I got nothing, but then I completely forgot too and only realised when my DH came downstairs and asked how my valentines day was going.

Psammead · 14/02/2011 09:51

Getting mine this evening!

olderandwider · 14/02/2011 09:51

No present, just a card. But that's absolutely fine with me as I too am not really into presents (except Christmas and Birthday, of course).

weefriend · 14/02/2011 09:51

We both forgot this morning Blush

BottleOfRum · 14/02/2011 09:52

A new hoover. DH is a charmer.

Tical · 14/02/2011 09:52

We don't do V Day. We had lots of wine and sex on Friday night, though Wink. And DH is coming home from work an hour early to cook me dinner.

midnightexpress · 14/02/2011 09:52

A lie-in. Grin

Which will do me just fine, tbh.

linziluv · 14/02/2011 09:52

"happy valentine's day"....via text message! We agreed not to bother though and I'm not upset! He's taking me for a meal in the week and our birthdays are next month anyway!

kreecherlivesupstairs · 14/02/2011 09:52

DH got two ham and mustard sarnies for work, I got twenty marlboro on the way back from dropping him off.
valentines day is just crap really IMO. DD is very excited because she fondly imagines that someone has bought her a rose. Her school was raising money by selling them for 5 euros each.
I will be very surprised if she does get one.

well on Friday my DH drove 400 miles with the children and dogs to see me, my family and Dad who is v v ill in hospital. Then drove home yesterday morning.

I put a card inhis case so he got a card from me today, and he didnt leave one for me, but I dont mind. When things are 'normal' again and I go back home we will go out to a lovely restaurant for dinner together.

Wow, OP... you have high expectations, IMO

(Tell me you're being slightly tongue-in-cheek, please!)

We got each other sod all. Didn't even remember until last night. DP sent me a text this morning though Smile

I will get him a card and put some slushy prose in it, I think. He has been a diamond lately

Rillyrillygoodlooking · 14/02/2011 09:55

I got a lecture on how I am eating too much, and he doesn't want me to get as fat as my mum and sister.

Oh, and I got a card and a packet of sweets Confused

bamboobutton · 14/02/2011 09:56

nothing. but thats fine as im not fussed about valentines day.

dh did offer to go and get flowers but i said i would rather i got flowers because he thought to get them himself, not forced to because hallmark tells him to.

Lonnie · 14/02/2011 09:56

a cup of tea by the bed and he went to buy a loaf of bread..

I wont get anythign else as he doesnt belive in Valentines day. (he works in advertisement so actually has a valid reason - I will come down like a ton of bricks in 2 weeks time if he doesnt make up for it on my birthday though)

SylvanianFamily · 14/02/2011 09:57

A row! And we don't really argue.... He accused me of 'shouting' 'RISE AND SHINE' at an inconsiderate volume... I told him to buy a flat for his iPod and visit it on the side, but to stop fecking reading it in bed while I'm talking to him.

Poor DD - she was so into anticipating valentines day - I think we may have damaged her forever!

chandellina · 14/02/2011 09:57

i think valentine's day is about recognising love and commitment, not getting a haul of presents. I'm giving DH some chocolates for us to share later, with a card. I expect nothing more than a card perhaps.

get over your greedy materialistic ways!
