You know some posters tend to enter a thread with "Well I'm a Doctor, Lawyer, Teacher, Head Teacher" or whatever...well do you give their post any more creedence because of it or do you just disregard it completely and read what they have to say as if they'd never mentioned it?

Bearing in mind any of us can be anything we claim to be?

Thanks in advance
Mutznutz OBE Grin

Ah Mutznutz and Giyadas you mean me don't you?

I was 100% honest, I am what I said I was. It's not something I usually roll into a thread because it's not relevant, however in the thread I was posting in (I thought) it was. I hope I didn't instantly p&** people off by doing so.
Apologies if I did!

And if it counts for anything I am proudest of the three beautiful lives I brought into this world not my qualifications.

Megglevache · 07/01/2011 22:28

Nope.

mutznutz · 07/01/2011 22:28

I can't read anything posted by that person tom

Oooh look at me getting all familiar lol

OP posts:
giyadas · 07/01/2011 22:29

well you know that Lovemy2babies is only actually fond of them at best Grin
nah, actually I know sweet f a.

mutznutz · 07/01/2011 22:30

Marniesmummy I'm sorry I genuinely don't know who you are?

No, I wasn't talking about a poster in general or I would name them and take the flaming lol.

In general there are a fair few posters who enter a thread telling everyone what their proffesion is before they continue with their post.

OP posts:
swanandduck · 07/01/2011 22:31

Well actually, the Swan bit is a lie. I just thought it would make me sound more intelligent.

penguin73 · 07/01/2011 22:32

although knowing my luck the cats would eat the birds...........

Simbacatlives · 07/01/2011 22:32

Everyone is hiding something or we would all use our own names.

Quite a while ago- I had another Posting name which I no longer use. Someone who is one of the ' experts' in an area once challenged something I said and then quoted something else to apparently back up their arguement (which it didn't) I didn't dare tell them that in real life I was the author of the material they were quoting and linking to.

tomhardyismydh · 07/01/2011 22:33

ha ha mutz well can only be expected from a couple of nutz. ( over familiarity I mean) i get my own joke anyway!!!

im trying to drink all my booze so I can shred succesfully.

did i mention im shredding and begining level 2 in the morning? ah but do you belive me??

MarniesMummy · 07/01/2011 22:34

Oh OK.Blush

No worries then. It's just the thread I posted on then turned into a bit of a bun fight with everyone posting their credentials true or Gillian McKeith stylee.

I'll join in meself then!

I hate it unless it's relevant and even then bollocks is still bollocks.

You should know eh MutzNutz? Wink

southeastastra · 07/01/2011 22:34

you just get to know people as with any site i imagine

giyadas · 07/01/2011 22:34

my first comment was a throwaway juvenile poke at the op, didn't mean you Marniesmummy.

lovemy2babies · 07/01/2011 22:35

giyadas. Oh well there goes my best attempts at lame gossiping for an evening :)

I can think of 1 poster who loves to rant about wonderful her life is and I really do think yeah right.

I am def to chicken to name and shame Blush

Quattrocento · 07/01/2011 22:35

As a lawyer, I do feel eminently qualified to say that 90% of the time 90% of lawyers talk complete bullshit.

Of course I don't know whether that means you can disregard 90% of what lawyers say or 81%. That's because, like most lawyers, I am utterly innumerate.

usualsuspect · 07/01/2011 22:35

Yes I agree with sea ..you get to know the posters after a while ...

mamalovesmojitos · 07/01/2011 22:35

I pretty much take everything everyone says on here as true. I like the internet because I think it's a place that you can be totally honest, so I don't know why someone would lie. Saying that, now that you mention it, I suppose it is very possible that some posters do lie about themselves.

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 07/01/2011 22:36

There are knobheads in every profession so no not really, unless it's specialised advice then hopefully you'll more than one anyway.

maktaitai · 07/01/2011 22:37

In general, yes. Blush

I'm quite gullible in real life too though.

giyadas · 07/01/2011 22:38

lovemy2babies - well if you want gossip, sixpercenttruejedi is a fucking liar.

MarniesMummy · 07/01/2011 22:39

I know, you mean Gillian McKeith dontcha?Grin

InnocentRedhead · 07/01/2011 22:39

Well, i'm a receptionist so everything i say must be right and true and you must revere me! And because i work as a receptionist in a casino, you can kiss my feet!

You are so right mutznutz, should we accept opinions etc. more from those who are in a 'revered' position, NO, only if it is in their field of knowledge. So anyone asking any questions on Bally - i am GOD

mutznutz · 07/01/2011 22:39

No I mean how many of you believe when someone says they're a teacher...that they're simply a TA? Or if they say they're a Lawyer...they do the filing and make the tea? Lol.

Tom What are you shredding? Confused

OP posts:
usualsuspect · 07/01/2011 22:39

did you know the word gullible was not in the dictionary

MarniesMummy · 07/01/2011 22:39

Giyadas - LOL

tomhardyismydh · 07/01/2011 22:39

the thraeds I hate are the ones where op desperatly needs some one to tell her that they need the advice of a proffesional then some twat rolls on up and slates every social worker police officer and teacher and op is in quandry for about 10 pages with a big old bung fight going on, makes me want to scream and shot.
