I'm not being unreasonable in any way, I'm just getting sick of new posters who aren't sure of the way the land lies getting ripped into by threads full of frothing "I'm better than you because I can spell" up their arse Mumsnetters. Being able to spell or not means nothing. Do people really think they are superior over someone just because they can spell better? Newsflash: you aint.
Now froth away, I'm not wrong so don't give a shit

feck

KindleTheSky · 02/01/2011 16:20

I have been here for years and years and one thing I find really odd is that the same questions come up over and over again but the reactions to them vary wildly.

ZZZenAgain · 02/01/2011 16:21

that's true

ZZZenAgain · 02/01/2011 16:21

one time the OP will get totally and utterly flamed

the next time everyone is supportive

yet the basic situation is the same. Very strange

KindleTheSky · 02/01/2011 16:21

I am probably the only person on here that didn't find the pom bear thing all that funny. It was quite funny but still.

ZZZenAgain · 02/01/2011 16:22

I didn't find it funny because I missed the thread. I think you had to be experiencing it live

ZZZenAgain · 02/01/2011 16:24

we have had some very good threads though, very funny

or spooky - werevolves anyone? Ghosts?

ilythia · 02/01/2011 16:24

kindle, there is a small group of us hiding round the board who don't 'do' the bear. But someone will pop us and post it to be 'amusing' and show us how out of touch we are. I think site stuff has some threads about it...

KindleTheSky · 02/01/2011 16:24

I was there, it was ok but not as good as some.

jugglingjo · 02/01/2011 16:25

Thanks Ilythia, that's what I call a friendly welcome !

Shock regarding the biscuit -
And I thought it might be quite friendly,

as in "Come over for a nice cup of tea and a biscuit at my place" !

usualsuspect · 02/01/2011 16:26

I hate that fucking pombear

ZZZenAgain · 02/01/2011 16:26

aw such innocence :)

lol

how could you think it was nice?! You are too trusting.

ZZZenAgain · 02/01/2011 16:27

I never use the pombear

ZZZenAgain · 02/01/2011 16:27

ifyou had a bad mood thread but put a lot of pombears in it, would that be alright then?

ilythia · 02/01/2011 16:27

Were you guys here for the halloween stories? They were awesome. Posted as written over halloween a few years back. Awesome.

I stay off all the other spooky threads, they give me the terminal shudders.

jugglingjo · 02/01/2011 16:29

I am too trusting.

But wising up fast eventually !

ZZZenAgain · 02/01/2011 16:30

I was reading a (stupid) book the other night with this scene where someone goes to a psychic (thinking the psychic is a fake) and feels this creepy coldness in the room, psychic really does interact with ghosts.

I felt the creepy coldness in my room...

Heck. I went to the bathroom and was too scared to look in the mirror. Why? I have no idea, really no idea but I couldn't bring myself to do it.

KindleTheSky · 02/01/2011 16:30

ZZZen only if you could somehow put a stake through their hearts.

cocoachannel · 02/01/2011 16:30

It always surprises me when people get sneered at for asking Qs on 'safe' threads like pregnancy. A first timer to MN and motherhood may have a question which others think is daft but is bothering them. They are then met with a sarcy response. Some people don't even know people with kids so are genuinely clueless...

... Yes, I do speak from personal experience of asking a Q in 'pregnancy', and being met by a sarcy response and a 'none of the mothers I know...'. And no, I don't know anyone with babies or small children (yet), so I do rely on MN to ask people who have had kids more recently than 30 years ago when Mum had me!

ilythia · 02/01/2011 16:30

I mean, Hi jugglingjo!Grin

The bear is awful. And I have never used the biscuit in 'anger'

KindleTheSky · 02/01/2011 16:32

OMFG there is a bear in a hat as well.

spikeycow · 02/01/2011 16:33

LOL loooooooooool

OP posts:
ZZZenAgain · 02/01/2011 16:33

am out of touch with the prgnancy threads, having done by bit birth wise and moved on. Would have thought that would all be very supportive...

Must admit when someone is posting a lot along the lines: could I be pregnant? I do find myself wondering why the hell they are not just taking a test

ilythia · 02/01/2011 16:34

WHat's a looooooooooooooooool? [groin]

ZZZenAgain · 02/01/2011 16:35

maybe I would have seen a pombear in the mirror, a stake through its heart and red eyes dripping blood

and possibly fangs
