Damn, I find myself back on this thread again. I ought to have more self-control!
yangymac 'Any age can have a "whoops" moment.'
Indeed. I was in the supermarket earlier this evening, and saw a woman (early twenties at most) in a white skirt which almost just covered her bum, bare legs ('tis freezing out!) and a tiny vest top. 'Whoops' moment if ever I saw one!
I fear I may be getting irrationally irritated by this, but I really do object to women being told 'oh, you are too old for that ' or 'your skirt is too short, you ought to be dressed more age appropriate'. If you feel comfortable and confident, dress how you please and don't fret about the opinions and judgement of others.
Polly ... Am really not having a go, but 'I did feel like my opinion was not worth much to you due to my age. Hence me feeling so strongly about trying to express my thoughts. ' Really?
Honestly, I don't think you were given a hard time due to your age. More likely than not, it was due to your somewhat rude and judgmental attitude.
