To think there is some misuse of the Pombear going on?

People seem to be dealing them out as though they were bicuits! They're not!

I thought they were to be used during those times when there was some extreme "Middle Class arsey-ness" going on..or am I wrong?

Can anyone actually tell me what they are for?

Or AIBU to be such a pedant?

You mean they're not there just so I can make bear puns?

GetOrfMoiLand · 29/11/2010 21:28

Fuck the pombear.

Tis the most ludicrous innovation on this site since that daft biscuit.

Fuck the pombear? Now that's a smiley I'd like to see!

ShanahansRevenge · 29/11/2010 21:30

Fuck the Pombear! Grin

What a screwy thing to say!

I am bitter.

I have been asking MNHQ for a [twat] emoticon for years.

Two days after that pom bear thread that dozy bear appears.

StealthPolarBear · 29/11/2010 21:33

AFAIK it is to diffuse slightly awkward / stilted situations

usualsuspect · 29/11/2010 21:35

I was hoping it was just temporary ..it annoys me when I see it [miserable cow]

ShanahansRevenge · 29/11/2010 21:36

Oh right...thansks SPB...well I still think people are doling them out as if they were jammy dodgers and it rankles!

GetOrf...I asked for an "arse" emoticon but never got one...I still want one now.
A little pink arse...it would speak volumes and its message could never be confused.

TrillianAdAstra · 29/11/2010 21:37

I thought they were for 'calm down dear, have a Bear'

ShanahansRevenge · 29/11/2010 21:38

Yes Usual..tis' somewhat annoying somehow....but GetOrf....it is just a bear...a little one at that.

{Picks bear up and dusts it down}

OP posts:
TrillianAdAstra · 29/11/2010 21:38

Or possibly when something has completly derailed the conversation and everyone is sitting around in stunned silence 'Bear anyone?'

ChaoticChristmasAngelCrackers · 29/11/2010 21:38
Bear Wink Grin
TrillianAdAstra · 29/11/2010 21:38

But it may just be that everyone on MN has used the Biscuit so they can't say 'my very first Biscuit' any more (I bet most of them are lying anyway when they say that)

GetOrfMoiLand · 29/11/2010 21:38

ARSE emoticon. Fantastic idea.

Or a BUMHOLES emoticon. OOh - could use the biscuit for that, looks the same.

TrillianAdAstra · 29/11/2010 21:39

Actually I think people misuse the jammy dodgers.

ShanahansRevenge · 29/11/2010 21:39

So...are they for awkward moments? Or for a "Calm down dear" moment?

Confused
OP posts:
TrillianAdAstra · 29/11/2010 21:39

My bumhole doesn't look like that!

GetOrfMoiLand · 29/11/2010 21:39

Fuck all the emoticons.

The only one worth having is the Smile (passive/aggressive) after a partcilarly biting comment (a la Bonsoir anna)

TrillianAdAstra · 29/11/2010 21:40

Good old Anna. Not that she's called that any more.

ShanahansRevenge · 29/11/2010 21:40

We could just pretend the biscuit is an arsehole GetOrf? That's much better than a biscuit!

MonkeySee · 29/11/2010 21:41

Yes I have seen it used as the biscuit, when imo it was to introduce a moment of levity if things were going tits up.

And I agree

FUCK THE BEAR

ShanahansRevenge · 29/11/2010 21:42

Dammit..the bear has now been kicked AND fucked! I never meant for this to happen!
