It wasn't even that FUNNY.

It was a mildy amusing thread.

If we got daft emoticons for every funny thread we would have nice ham, penguin, 'is that you UCM' and Take a Break Tips emoticons.

Take a Break Tips are annoying because they all linked to pages that were wrong by the next day. It's all just 'look here it's so funny can you believe she did that with her rubber glove!' and when you go 'here' it's a completely differnt tip because it's just 'tips page 5'. Copy and paste, people!

The point is, that thread was not that funny, a lot of people actually thought it was a bit mean and unfair. And yet, and yet MNHQ have decided that that thread that divided opinion so strongly and is a good basis for a new emoticon.

There are numerous other threads more universally liked than that one.

The thing was about a couple of bonkers people (that sound so amazingly crackers that I would love to have them as friends ), so clearly, for the pombear to make sense, it is to be used to indicate that someone is being bonkers.

it probably should. I have no clue. My spelling is bloody awful. Firefox had this thingie where it underlined my many spelling mistakes and helped me correct them. ie is not as kind to me.

I could run every one of my posts through the Word spellchecker, but that would require cutting and pasting, editing and then cutting and pasting back into mn.
