To be pissed off that the EDL are marching through my town tomorrow..well the march is banned but they are allowed a peaceful protest town is multi cultural and it makes me sad that this will cause unrest

The people of Leicester mainly rub along together I love the multi cultural aspect of my city ...why march here if you don't want to create trouble?

OP posts:
upahill · 08/10/2010 22:14

I agree with their right to protest.
i just hope that everyone follows their right to ignores the bastards.

seymourbeaver · 08/10/2010 22:15

Does Leicester have a large Indian population rather than Pakistani?

nancy75 · 08/10/2010 22:17

of corse they want to create trouble - that is their whole reason for being!
personally i think they are idiots that should just be ignored, after all the headline "edf march through city - nothing happens" is not exactly giving them the exposure or reaction they want.

usualsuspect · 08/10/2010 22:17

See I agree with anyone's right to protest ..but it makes me uncomfortable that they choose cities like Leicester and Bradford to do it ...there are loads of peaceful protests planned to oppose it ..the whole centre is being draped with green ribbon to show a united city

OP posts:
usualsuspect · 08/10/2010 22:19

seymourbeaver why, yes it does

It is nice to think Leicester is a united city,Bradford is not a united city.A lot of Pakistanis in Bradford do not want to mix

usualsuspect · 08/10/2010 22:22

nancy75 · 08/10/2010 22:23

the problem with peacfull protests is that they are alway hijacked by a few nutters that also want to cause trouble - which gets the EDF the new coverage they want. far better, imo, to let them march through a desserted street

seymourbeaver · 08/10/2010 22:24

usualsuspect
oh really what?

usualsuspect · 08/10/2010 22:29

and your point is seymour...

OP posts:
usualsuspect · 08/10/2010 22:30

I know what you mean nancy ...but people are genuinely scared ..the bus stops have been boarded up ffs

OP posts:
seymourbeaver · 08/10/2010 22:32

I am just saying Bradford is not united.
Do you live near Bradford? A lot of Pakistanis in Bradford do not want to mix
There is nothing racist in my comments,I am afraid its the real world
