Dh got home before me, rang to see what to do for tea. I said pizza, potato and salad. Got home, he's cooked pizza and omelette so I asked where are the potatoes and salad? He replied he hadn't done them as he thought pizza and omelette would be enough. He got the pizza out of the oven, I said they're not quite cooked through. He flipped at this point, shouting that whenever he cooks I criticize him! Is it just me that thinks this is completely ott?!

maybe a bit, though it does sound like you came home and decided everything he'd done was wrong.

I think you should leave the kitchen and let him get on with it.

do you always criticise his cooking? Sounds like you got home and moaned about everything he'd done. Maybe totally flipping out is over the top but perhaps your comments were the final straw?

That was "tits" as an expletive, not an insult btw! Looks like I'm having humble pie as dessert.

YABU overall, though I would be internally at a pizza and omelette combo. I think it comes under the heading of 'don't sweat the small stuff' though.

Think of it as a cheese omelette with toast and tomato sauce. Just served differently.

Pizza and Salad - yes. No potatoes needed.

But YABU. I would kill for DH to cook. It's me or a takeout in this house, he hates cooking.

When someone has done something -even if they've missed something, the first thing you say should not be about what they didn't do!

No "oh good, pizza's ready" just where's the X, you didn't do Y, Z isn't right..."

tbh, if you'd done that to me, you'd be wearing the bloody pizza!
