Because of this

But as a politician he can take whatever gets thrown at him....that's his job.

I think the fact that he took the time to visit Riven should have counted for something. It would have with me.

I'm on my phone and not following this properly, sorry if lots of xposts..

DP what positive outcome?

Admittedly his comments were better than a kick up the arse, but he hasnt actually done anything.

Prior to DC's promises, the guidelines were already there, PCT's cant follow these guidelines due to lack of funding.

Its a bit like DC promising to cut hospital waiting times, then just reminding hospitals of what the timescales are!

cupcakesandbunting · 19/08/2010 17:56

Until incontinent people are guaranteed enough products I haven't actually finished you know.

I love you, Riven. :)

I bet that Dave will be sleeping more easily at nights knowing that he has daftpunk fighting his corner - like his own personal Peter Mandelson.

bibbitybobbityhat · 19/08/2010 18:01

Ha ha ha ha HA HA HA HA at this thread title. Has op been spending too much time in the company of toddlers?

fightingthela · 19/08/2010 18:01

Perhaps we should pass a motion to finish this thread now! Smile

He might well follow through with his promises, that remains to be seen. But i should imagine Riven is a bit of a hurry to get her dd's needs met.

I will say again the only thing premature was this nasty thread and if anyone is owed an apology is Riven.

The DM is not my favourite newspaper, the Times is, but that's irrelevant . Listen Riven, I wish you all the best with this, genuinely want to see better provisions for the disabled, they should be top of the list. And 2shoes you're right, I said all this on the original thread. I will shut up now for fear of being dull and boring.... two things I most definately am not.

Tiredmumno1 · 19/08/2010 18:07

I reckon daft is nick tryin to defend their shambolic tosh.

fuck off telling me to apologise cos he has done 1 decent thing!!!

and lets face it, after the tragic death of his son this will always be an area that he will pay attention to

BonniePrinceBilly · 19/08/2010 18:58

Has anyone else noticed that, in a sort of counter clark-superman effect, you never see the shreiking Harpy and daftpunk on different threads? Always together, whining about liberals and lefties. I'd think they were the same person except harpy has a better grasp of grammar......

Anyhoo, apology my arse. So he's announced that he actually intends to do what he said he'd do months ago, which was a legal requirement in the first place. He must be so proud of such an accomplishment!
Hmm

Claw3 · 19/08/2010 19:05
  1. It implies that Riven and others should be grateful to DC for doing nothing.
  1. Nothing has changed, so premature with the being grateful.
  1. To use Riven's fight as a political platform to voice self indulgent views, is pretty low.
LetThereBeRock · 19/08/2010 19:12

An apology for doing what he's elected and paid to do? I don't think so.

Riven owes no one an apology and without her tireless campaigning I very much doubt this would be happening right now. I think it'd be on the back burner for some time if she hadn't brought it to David Cameron's attention and continued to do so.
