Yanbu and yabu

People will think ( privately) Riven was unreasonable to be so hasty with her judgement, but to start a thread to purely rub her nose in it is pathetic....it was all dealt with on the original thread.

Grow up ffs.

BarmyArmy · 19/08/2010 09:24

daftpunk - If I could have found the original thread I would have done so, hence my starting a new one.

I was simply curious to see whether the acknowledgements, thanks, apologies (call it what you will) would be as energetically expressed as the original complaints, conjecture and abuse.

Funnily enough, they haven't been.

Am I a troll? No.

Am I a Tory trying to counter the overwhelming preponderance of left-wing sentimentality on MN at every opportunity?

You bet!

So Riven do you now receive more than 4 nappies?

Ive been waiting 18 months, just for an appointment for a continence assessment for my ds. Still i suppose i should be grateful, that once the assessment has been done, i can then fight my PCT for nappies.

What my ds really needs is sensory input from a trained OT, then he wouldnt need nappies, but my PCT doesnt have one of those.

Thank you Dave.

Well I DID notice a distinct lack of acknowledgement on the other thread that DC had actually done a good thing.

While Riven and MN clearly deserve great credit - DC also deserves acknowledgment that a senior politician did do something he promised to do.

daftpunk · 19/08/2010 09:52

I don't think you're a troll (couldn't give a toss even if you were tbh) ...I like you actually...I just wouldn't have started this thread. Riven strated the other one, she asked for it so I gave it to her. I thought she was being very unreasonable, but I'm sure she knows that now

As for all the lefties on here....Hmm, not alot to say on that really. We all know if it wasn't for Wales & Scotland the Labour party in England would disappear up it's own arse (and will do eventually)...they can't rely solely on all the immigrant voters they bought brought in. Plus the Liberals have sold themselves to the Tories.

Lefties are disillusioned fools imo, just let them get on with it...

Claw3 · 19/08/2010 09:52

BarmyArmy, why should Riven be saying thank you, she is still waiting?

tethersend · 19/08/2010 09:53

BA, if it's a mission to redress the political balance you want, why not pop over to the Socialist Worker Party forum?

Sure, it's a bigger challenge than MN, but with your wit, repartee and dazzling debating skills, along with your firm grasp of political processes and conventions, you'll slay 'em.

MN will only ever be reflective of its members' views- it's an internet forum. If more posters think David Cameron's a massive cunt than don't, then I'm afraid that will be the prevailing view of MN.

It may be time to put your superhero outfit away and just have a normal debate like everyone else instead of trying to 'redress the balance' all the time.

tethersend · 19/08/2010 09:54

"DC also deserves acknowledgment that a senior politician did do something he promised to do."

Err... why? That's what they are supposed to do. The clue is in the word 'promise'

cornsillkk · 19/08/2010 09:55

Parents are still going to have to fight for what they need. The removal of the 'arbitrary ceiling' doesn't change that. Overall will parents with disabled children now struggle more under the tories than under labour? Looks like it.

Greensleeves · 19/08/2010 09:57

sorry but can I just pick up on the word "ingratitude"

parents of disabled children are "ungrateful" for basic equipment and services

says it all really Hmm

cupcakesandbunting · 19/08/2010 09:59

So, he's done one thing that he said he would?

Pffft. A stopped clock tells the right time twice a day.

Let's see what else he sticks to before we all start telling each other that the sun is shining from his bottom.

2shoes · 19/08/2010 10:00

yippeee all the cares for dc's with double incontinence will be so grateful to get more crappy nappies/pads, cos unless i missed it I didn't see anything about improving the crap products.

(unlike that troll op I have been there)

BeenBeta · 19/08/2010 10:02

I have noticed over the years that an annoyingly common trait among lefties is that thay are totally ungracious and absolutley incapable of acknowledging that anyone who is not a Labour voter can still be a decent human being.

DC has done a good thing. I really hope that Riven and her DD gets what she needs.

daftpunk · 19/08/2010 10:03

2shoes...he isn't a troll just because he doesn't think like you...>

Claw3 · 19/08/2010 10:05

All DC did was to remind the PCT's that their blanket policy is illegal!

One of the other policies was 'to end bias towards the inclusion of children with special needs in mainstream schools' has not stopped to this day the LEA from using illegal blanket policies and parents having to fight!

Promises do not equal action.

cornsillkk · 19/08/2010 10:08

ditto claw. The new academies will not be good for children with SEN either.
