There are now three anonymous sources (from the US) stating that the missile was fired by Ukraine.

If the sources are anonymous how do you know they are legitimate ?

I posted some tweets yesteday that were probing to be Ukrainian last night.

Quite likely it was an Ukrainian one fired against a Russian one that went bad and ended up in Poland.

Pretty sure Biden has been properly informed that by known sources. We are just being told they’re unknown.

Seems according to latest news that they could be Ukrainian..Sleepy Joe isn’t saying they are Russian at the moment.

Go some people are just desperate for a huge escalation and almost seem disappointed that article 5 won't be triggered.

Biden would not be saying what he's said to the press unless he was told the facts and can make an informed decision. Many experts claimed soon afterwards looking at the fragments that it was a Ukranian air defence rocket. Yes Russia is also in possession of them but would never be able to hit Poland with them as the have a very short range.

It makes sense it was Ukrainian - tragic but accidental, in shooting down the Russian missiles. But shows how both sides are equally quick to exploit the media - Zelensky happy to try and get everyone riled up thinking it's Russia and intentional because that serves his cause.

So if it was a mistake by the Ukraine whilst defending their country, will NATO still give them a massive bollocking?

Russia is still 100% responsible. They are firing missiles into Ukraine! Any fall out as a result of those missiles is entirely on them

And Ukraine said right from the moment it landed, that the missile might have been theirs, no hiding, no lying, the difference between the two governments couldn't be shown up more clearly

Did they say that? Because Zelenskey made a statement saying Poland had been attacked and a response was needed...

I cant remember exactly what we said, he certainly was correct about escalation and response being needed, and he might have said it was an attack, you could be right there

However, the Ukrainian officials interviewed on the BBC last night, in English, were saying that it was unclear, and it might well have been a defensive missile from Ukraine, or possibly a Russian missile that had been shot off course by Ukraine, and they would have to wait and see

Zelenskey has got alot of things right in this war. But jumping to conclusions and suggesting a military response was irresponsible at best before any facts were established.

There is war mongering everywhere up and down the country / Europe / all continents. Warmongering on social media, whichever channel, observe it and take note. All the 'little' people outraged about this that or the other. Everyone believes their needs matter the most, people becoming so self righteous, it's a cacophony of ignorance and mobbing trite.

If you take a step back people will see how divided we have become as people. This is what scares me.

It may not have been launched in Russia, but it is still quite possible it was launched by Russian forces in Ukraine.

Honest to god, and reason went out the window on this one. It was obvious what the thread was about. It wasn't a thread you'd stumble over thinking it was about something else or be triggered by the content being unexpected.

There really are some posters who need to remove head from arses and if they are triggered by actual news, disconnect their TV and close their social media accounts. And probably seek professional help.

Despite the confirmation in Poland it is a Russian missile, back by international regulators.

Biden's wording is interesting.
'may not' so they still don't know and are not willing to speculate.

I read this as the US saying that they are not willing to escalate on the grounds of one Polish farm being bombed by a Russian missile, which may or may not be deliberate.

I understand the reluctance to overreact and the need for the careful collection of evidence, and dialling down the media frenzy.

But, I still don't buy it. Quite frankly.

The timing with Putin being shunted out of the G20 and the united front of all the leaders there including China AND the 85 missiles launched all day at Ukraine leads me to believe Putin is throwing his toys out of his pram and having a tantrum because he wasn't invited to the party, and is now on the dud list. This is a lashing out. It doesn't need to lead to anything if it is a one off.

Those missiles have a range of 150km of which no russian forces are within that distance of the polish farm.
