What's you best, really tenuous link to a sleb?

I am in awe of all these people who have met loads of celebrities and have interesting stories to post about.

It got me thinking.......the closest I have ever got was when I was young Tilda Swinton's mum & dad used to let me ride on their estate and one day I patted Tilda's old pony.

And that's it!!

Anyone else got equally tenous sleb stories (and yes I am very bored....)?

Ok -
I have had a cup of tea and biscuit with Shane from boyzone

My dds godparents son was in a band with Newton Faulkner - I've met him a couple of times (over a cup of tea) and he's lovely..

My brothers went to school with johnny wilkinson

My brother had a pint with Robson Green

My driving instructor was a roadie with Ian Drury and the blockheads and once sang backing on one their albums

ermm... I'm sure I've got more just one spring to mind..

then she moved over to London cos she married a British bloke. she was mother to the vilest child in the world who I used to babysit for. She was MAD as well

I gave Grace Jones (singer) a manky old tampon that had been knocking about at the bottom of my bag for ages because she didn't have the correct change for the dispenser machine in the ladies toilets.
She was very grateful, not seeming to care that it was covered in bag fluff.

My mum,aunts and nan were all invited to the state opening of parliament and had lunch at Buckingham Palace afterwards.My dad and uncle were asked too,but didn't go as someone had to stay at home & do the milking.A few years later my sister & cousin went as well.

Mum dad ,nan,aunts and uncles were all invited to Highgrove by Prince Charles,they spent the whole day there and had lunch with him.He showed them around everywhere and took my nan's arm to help her across the fields.

DH met the Queen & Duke of Edinburgh last year at work.Princess Anne's motorcade went past me this morning,on a back lane on my way to work.

DH has a book with a message written for him by Buzz Aldrin.He is one of DHs heroes,but the day he visited,it was Dh's 1st day off in 10 days,so he said he'd rather spend it with us,than meet his hero.The girls at work told Buzz this and he left a copy of his book with amessage inside for DH.What a lovely man.

Oh,how could I forget,DH used to work with Gok Wan's boyfriend.He was a lovely guy.and has since left.DH came home one day and asked me if I'd ever heard of Gok,as X from work was dating him & he was meant to be famous.Not being very interested in celebs,I hadn't but asked my sister,who told me all about him.I've still not seen his tv show though.

Bizzarely enough,my friend who was rung up by Kylie,went to another friends' wedding this year and the brides dress was designed by Gok & he was her 'best man'.

Jeremy Beadle gave me a birthday kiss then sat back down and missed his chair.

Ryan Giggs asked me to go on a shagfest roasting session date. I declined as I was on my way to see Take That and clearly was really gonna snog Robbie.

I did snog Jason Orange's brother (as did half of Manchester) and DID think it was 'him'.

I worked in a bar and Alex Higgins used to come in. He used to he order a vodka and orange. I would get him the vodka, put it on the bar, and turn around to get the bottle of orange. He would have already downed the vodka.

Ortis from Childrens BBC trained me to operate the 'pirate galleon' ride at Chessington World of Adventures (b4 he was famous).

I had lunch with Dave Benson-Phillips (remember Playbus?) - I was on the committee of a playgroup that operated on a double-decker bus, and he came to open our FunDay.
He allowed DD to carry Chester, his puppet - that still ranks as one of her proudest moments fifteen years later.

somewhere is a signed photo of me with Keith Harris and Orville. I happened to be walking through a theatre lobby when he was there publicising his 'show'. His 'people' grabbed me and bullied talked me into posing for the cameras. the picture was in a local paper . I was 15 at the time....and a trainee goth.

My old latin teacher was Adrian Edmondson's aunt.

No - it was an E. He did say that there were an awful lot of cousins!
