What are your opinions on a guest sleeping naked in someone else's house?

I'm talking here about a male, late 60s to early 70s, who always sleeps naked and this includes when being a guest in someone's home.
Also, would you be comfortable letting you DC visit and sleep in the same house with this man (he is granny's husband)?

I don’t know or care what my guests wear in bed. When they leave the room I’d expect them to be covered up.

There’s a difference between sleeping naked and walking around the house naked. Clothes on when not in a private space or he isn’t invited / you’ll go home.

Well that’s a drip feed and a very different issue, just ask him to put a dressing gown on, it’s prob force of habit.

So why didn’t you say that in your OP? Or are you assuming that he may do this?
I sleep naked, and at home I’ll go to the bathroom naked occasionally but I wouldn’t do the latter if I had guests.

Apart from anything else-are you suggesting that a 30 year old walking around the house naked would be fine? Because that adds an extra level of weirdness!!!

If they’re walking around the house nekkid then my child wouldn’t be staying there.

I sleep naked and my nieces and nephews come and climb in my bed in the morning! Somehow everyone is ok.

I probably wouldn't even know, let alone care. Did one of your children see him walking round naked? Because that would be the issue. Loads of people sleep naked.

Then you should have asked about someone walking around the house naked, not sleeping naked. Those are two separate things.

Yes of course. He's in bed under the bedclotehs. DH and I bothe pretty much always sleep naked as long as we are in a private nedroom. Never crossed my mind that this would be an issue. I put something on if I am sharing a room.

I would expect not to be aware of this, but I would also expect anyone in a house where there's a guest to be in a robe or some form of pj to go to the loo in the night.

In bed in a private room, fine.

On a sofa bed in living room? Not ok.
Wandering around the house? Not ok.

I’d not let the kids go in their room if I knew they were naked.

Yes fine. Although I was a bit surprised once when I heard my naked husband meet my naked Dad in the bathroom. Dad went back to bed which woke my Mum up who then went to bathroom naked and also met my naked husband who was coming out! Serves them all right for not wearing dressing gowns.

I sleep “ nekkid” but as a guest would cover up for a night time trip to the loo ( as would my DH). Unless you’ve actually encountered them naked I don’t think there’s any reason to believe another guest wouldn’t also do that.

There is no pair of pants available that is as comfortable as no pants so it’s a moot point.
