To ask what food you think is overrated

Pasta! Everyone seems to love it but I think it’s seriously overrated and pretty plain/ boring. Would never order it in a restaurant. What food does everyone love but you think is overrated?

Pasta
Pizza
Smoked salmon

ramen

Hrft but scallops for me, total waste of space.

Sour dough crumpets though, I can enjoy, regular ones make me heave. Sour dough bread, expensive but can be tasty imo.

Yep, dog gobbled up Greggs sausage and explosive diarrhea everywhere 💩 when we got home!

In the days when I ate potato, our local hospital canteen did the best hash browns. People travelled for miles to have their breakfast.

I think the tradition has gone now sadly.

I love all kinds of bread except sourdough - it's horrible!

It is absolutely rank😕I can't understand why anyone could choose it over a nice cake like Victoria sponge, lemon drizzle, coffee cake, anything in fact.

Well that’s likely to be from the bacteria that’s grown on food that’s been lying on the floor tbf

I love carrot cake too. I make Mary Berry’s carrot cake tray bake for charity cake sales at work. It’s moist, hint of spice with cream cheese and chopped walnut topping. Not too sweet and as it’s a tray bake easy to serve, gets snapped up very quick

I came on here to say marzipan! Hate the stuff. Hate anything almond flavoured, actually - amaretto, almond cheesecake, almond croissants… the only way almonds are bearable are chocolate covered.

I love oysters, caviar, lobster & carrot cake though.

Tempura batter - sickening and yet great way to spoil a good food!

I appreciate carrot cake is popular, I am just baffled why. I also HATE Mary Berry so mentioning her and carrot cake in the same sentence is a double no no!!!

I love her lol, have met her a few times at work. Her baking bible is my go to for baking

OMG I've been saying this for years! And my husband just laughs at me! And we continue to go when friends want to go there. Went the other day - friend had sea bream. Only a sea bream on her plate, no veg, nothing, think it was £27. I had a so-so Siciliana pizza £15.50.

Jelly, blancmange, meringue. Yucksville.

Brioche products. Sweet rolls and bread. Why do we have so many of them by

Nearly all Christmas foods bar mince pies.

Think turkey and stuffing. Silly pigs in blankets. Fart smelling sprouts. Overloaded Christmas pudding with Christmas Cake covered in awful dry icing.

Makes me feel sick at the thought of it

I always refuse to go Italian when out because I can make it in the house for buttons 😂

Yes agree and Italian food in general is overrated.
