A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙☕️

We're gearing up for the Burnham budget. 😬

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

US social media is saying that some billionaire named Neville Roy Singham is funding the riots.

I have never heard of the guy. Is this tin foil hat territory, or a real thread in the tapestry that we are ignoring?

I'd not heard of him before. Lookomh at his wiki it does look plausible!

@Dinnerontheterrace “Is this tin foil hat territory, or a real thread in the tapestry that we are ignoring?”

Who is “we”?

obviously, I am never ignoring this stuff, but I now have at least six years of being called a conspiracy theorist on this website. Not on this thread of course.

That’s the main reason why I tend to be cagey, even on here. You can get suspended for mentioning an organisation that exists… and has public meetings… and is not on the terrorist list or anything … and ironically an organisation that most people turned out to be quite fond of!

A good time to remind you all of my regular Whitechapel quote “there are dark forces at play, gentlemen”. Not a very impressive quote. I just always think of it when people are talking about this stuff on here. That season was particularly good on institutional corruption. (Season 2, about the Krays).

I hate all this 4D chess.

anyway… someone else mentioned about AI and what people will do for work. I’ve also been wondering what’s going to happen to all the spare humans since 2020. There is a lot written on the subject but nobody really knows until it happens I guess.

I have not had a good week, so I’ve been here far more than I should be. Trying to recalibrate today. So I should be here less….

“What you are watching in France is not the French people failing. It is the end of the globalist project, an abject, quasi-communist dream of a world run by unelected planners. It is collapsing everywhere in Europe at once, and the West has to cut this cancer out before it takes the rest of the body with it.”

I absolutely agree. The Macrons off dancing to Céline Dion whilst anarchy grows, whilst meanwhile his next step to stay in power is plotted. Modern day playing out of 21st century Les Miserable.

SapphireCasino · 18/10/2026 10:38

@Rubydobydo ” end of the globalist project” that is an incredibly optimistic view!

Dancing to Céline as Celine is raided and looted 😞

The globalist project is under strain. I think Macron going will be a key part.

Macron is speaking tonight. It was pointed out to me that if Macron or any countries leader declares Martial Law there will be no elections as long as it remains in place. So in France Le Pen will be neutralised.

Beyond further appeals for calm, support for law and order, and the sanctity of democracy, I struggle to see an imposition of martial law tbh.

The impact on the French economy would be disastrous.

I saw this pop up. It seems we don’t listen to friends who know more than us.

I can’t see it either. Not it working to neutralise a democratic vote. As much as Macron seems the type to use whatever, it’s a big step.

Yep, now the thugs have had a pop at the police, set fire to some buildings, and half-inched some haute couture etc., they might feel sated, for the time being.

They might do. But really serious disorder will break out again if the left doesn’t get its way. I genuinely fear for France’s stability. This wasn’t a load of farmers flexing their muscles about cheap imports by blocking roads or commandeering lorries, or some climate activists out for some anti-social fun. It was a serious challenge to the French state by the left.

The UK will be fine. We’re not in hock to the bond markets.

QuiteUnbelievable · 18/10/2026 19:24

Sky news has just picked out the uniform of the far left ,black outfits /goggles and umbrellas .
They are the agitators behind this .
They said the looting however was just oportunistic from what they saw last night.

There used to be - maybe still is - quite an involved code of different battle dress of the left in the UK. The anarchists, the Marxists, the Trots, etc all had their own get-ups for some mischief in the streets. The crack troops of the anarchists wore overalls and were called - this is true - the Wombles: White Overalls Movement Building Libertarian Effective Struggles.

You have to love the left. Life would be so much less amusing without their outstanding stupidity and self-importance.

Some of the footage from France is outrageous….

QuiteUnbelievable · 18/10/2026 21:13

@DenizenOfAisleOfShame the wombles ! How dare they sully the name .

@Electra10E it's really breathtaking . I've been reading from people's whose flats have been broken into !
It's beyond horrific. I can't imagine people in the police in France.

@justasking111 I saw that this morning.
I've got little patience with this man left . He owns or has interests in these companies ,his wife is apparently also affiliated in some way. How long can we wait ? How long can we wait
We are facing dire times what are these people playing at.

Macron has just given a speech showing how completely useless he is. This is his legacy after 9 years.

It was a weak speech IMHO.

It had the feel that he has already checked out.
