Thinking of all the victims of the 07 October attacks (and their families and friends).

And the Jewish community everywhere.

I'm not Jewish and don't know any Jewish people, but can see the level of hate towards them. It's terrifying. The atrocities committed on October 7th are unbearable to think about and it does seem most of the media are seeking to minimise it.
Sending love and strength to the Jewish community 💙

I agree.
I can't imagine how Jewish people must be feeling today. 🙏🏼

Yes, it must feel like a huge slap in the face.

Sadly, this small community is probably used to it.

And continues to conduct itself with nothing but dignity.

So much respect from me. 🌺

The victims of October 7th are often on my mind. I’ll be thinking of them today. Bless them
all.

Same here and agree with every word you said.

Which is why it’s so important to show the Jewish community that not everyone thinks like that snd that they do have allies.

They do indeed, and we see those who seek to minimise and excuse this shocking event.

Then perhaps you could go and start a general thread of your own to memorialise those broader conflicts, rather than shitting all over this one?

They can’t seem to hep themselves.

The very first post was already accusing me of looking for drama.

Why?

It's an attempt to shut you down. Those of us who intend to speak up and speak out about evil won't be silenced.

Remembering that terrible day.
Love to all Jewish people everywhere.

It’s been hard to see that over the last three years, and I’m not close to the atrocity. But just generally on SM it’s been awful to see.

I feel so much for the victims and their families of that day.

I'm not Jewish bit have contacts in Israel and I well remember seeing a message from one of those that morning that went along the lines of "there's something nasty happening down south, it'll be on your news soon.." and of course it was.

My thoughts are with them and the rest of the Jewish community today.

For those insistent on diluting the memorial efforts today - a few of you have been mighty keen over the last three years of accusing many people of not having a moral compass. Where is your's?

I am Muslim and as anti-Netanyahu as they come, but goodness today is about remembering the innocents of 7/10. The terror they must have felt and the horror they experienced. I often think of the poor poor mum of Shani Louk and the memories and flashbacks of her beloved daughter that she must endure daily. Bless all that died and suffered that day, and their families. X

I remember the horror. And am a witness to the resurgence of vile antisemitism that has been unleashed- the oldest hatred indeed. It's frightening to watch as a non Jew, god knows how British Jews must feel.

Pudmyboy · 07/10/2026 10:20

Another non-Jewish poster here standing in solidarity with Israel, and I agree it's horrible to see how blatant and normalised anti-Semitism has become. This thread gives me hope though, thank you OP.
I remember October 7th 🇮🇱❤️🇮🇱

louderthan · 07/10/2026 10:28

Thinking of the victims today, and the Jewish people all over the world who have experienced increased hatred and bigotry since.
I went to an outdoor community Hannukah celebration a few days after the Bondi Beach massacre, the rabbi had a relative who had been murdered in the attack. He was visibly distressed but spoke of Hannukah as a time of light, hope and connection and asked us not to take hate or anger away, but to reach out to others with kindness.
At the end, he thanked the PCSOs and venue security who had been present throughout.
I cannot imagine another religious celebration where a police or security presence would be needed.
Remembering the victims today. 💔

EasternStandard · 07/10/2026 10:29

Reading the messages to their mothers from Nova. It’s young adult dc and teens. Unbearable. I’m so sorry this happened to people.

Inthetreehouseatlast · 07/10/2026 10:29

TacticalNameChanging · 06/10/2026 22:26

This is about October 7th.

It’s fine to use an anniversary to remember a specific group of people that suffered on that day.

🕯️🕊️

Well said. Why can’t some posters just let this be about the Jewish victims on October 7th?

BMW58 · 07/10/2026 10:29

What kind of absolute cunt would be toting a Palestinian /Hamas flag around on Oct 7th?????

Edited to add - I am not Jewish
