You know the ones. You see their username and think, excellent, they’re here.

Who are your Mumsnet favourites? No smooching required, just appreciation. 😏

Wearyaudwoman. I hope I have the spelling correct. I don’t know that she posts much but her responses are always wise, insightful and empathetic.

She's a great poster. Very kind, wise and knowledgeable. I can't recall of she sadly recently lost her dog. Sure I used to see her on the (many) dog hating threads.

What’s “the truth”?

There should be "no sacred castes" when it comes to safeguarding.

Looking into the past: priests, scoutmasters, celebrities, police

Today I would imagine teachers and social workers, who are highly regarded by some on Mumsnet as infallible.

What happened to Xenia? Used to enjoy reading her contributions to threads.

Oh i think she is around !😀

BogRollBOGOF · 04/10/2026 14:13

TheKeatingFive always strikes me as being succint, logical and to the point, and cares about the quality of (often, but not exclusively adult female) human lives.

Sometimes there's posters that I don't always agree with but articulate a debate well and that's worthy of respect.

It's nice being able to recognise names and a sense of community. There's a lot of communities in the niche sections of the boards and long-running chats.

👋 to the ADs. You were my glimmer of sanity in dark, crazy times.

user1476613140 · 04/10/2026 14:16

Rosscameasdoody or something like this, is one I usually tend to agree with on many threads.

Crestofapage6421 · 04/10/2026 14:17

HRTFT but I assume PigletJohn has been suitably applauded for his excellent contributions? 👏👏👏

Mitmoo…

Wallywobbles · 04/10/2026 14:30

I miss some like Cogito and AnyFucker (names probably not right).

Yes. 🙂

I'm also going to say thanks to notimagain, who posts some really informative (and former pilot-based) common sense on FlightRadar and other aviation-related threads.

Cadeaukatze · 04/10/2026 15:07

AtlasPine · 02/10/2026 19:47

Redtoothbrush

I was going to say the same!

Crushed23 · 04/10/2026 15:08

I’m going to get their names wrong, but I used to like Lottapianos (great advice, I think a therapist IRL?) and MintJulia (very wholesome, seemed content in life).

Both of whom I haven’t seen in a long while. 😔

Whisperwaves · 04/10/2026 15:47

I miss Crumbs at Christmas.

Are you seriously saying that this poster was banned from number because she said no one should be exempt from safeguarding? As simple as that @BlackeyedSusan ?

“Number” should read “Mumsnet”

Mine too in those long dark days but there were rebels 🤪

Piccadilly had a baby and there was a turtle/tortoise. Wonder how big that is now

Lomonald · 04/10/2026 12:09

Xenia told me in a previous name, that i wasn't trying hard enough. On a post about illness and benefits, so I don't think she was particularly empathetic, i am not going to start slating her, but she did think anybody not like her was weak and not doing themselves any favours for not working "a million hours a weeks 4 weeks after having babies "

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I wasn't saying Xenia embodied the qualities outlined, because, I agree, she didn't. Just that I remember her fondly for her posts which could be thought provoking and sometimes made me chuckle. Whether all was as it seems is up for debate!

HelleofaBore
Lang Cleg
EreshKiga

Superhansrantowindsor · 04/10/2026 19:24

Datun is the one poster who I remember as she always speaks sense.
I miss bupcakes and anyfucker.

sherbetlemonade · 05/10/2026 09:39

We do get threads like these from time to time, and I always wonder whether there are any posters frantically scrolling away up and down the thread in the hope they get to see their name mentioned. And then get miffed when they don't.😂

3wouldbegood · 05/10/2026 09:45

CurlewKate, who I always remember because I love curlews but also posts some excellent stuff.

EllaPaella · 05/10/2026 10:20

@sherbetlemonadeor doing a quick name change and mentioning themselves 🤣

Probably Blondehavemorefun on the telly threads, I would have missed a lot of series if it wasn't for these and even though I don't post much on them because I <whispers> binge and they are always NO SPOILERS, I enjoy reading them

Awww shucks 🥰 I love our section

just clicked on this thread to have a read but didn’t expect to be on it

ive been on here 2 decades + under same name and remember and recognize many of the names mentioned but I won’t go into them

but when I joined years ago mn was a much smaller sometimes friendlier site

you got to ‘know’ the posters and course met many in real life when we would go to London for boozy Xmas parties and meet ups

BIWI · 06/10/2026 08:45

Yes - they were very different days!
