You know the ones. You see their username and think, excellent, they’re here.

Who are your Mumsnet favourites? No smooching required, just appreciation. 😏

I would miss MrsHamlet. She gave me some advice a few weeks ago and it has made a huge difference to my daughter and saved my sanity.

Abigbowlofveg · 03/10/2026 14:08

All the “royalty” who supposedly were banned or flounced, will all still be on Mumsnet under different user names, trying in vain to return to their glory days. Thankfully not going to happen on modern day Mumsnet

EllaPaella · 03/10/2026 14:23

I miss AnyFucker.. not seen her on here for ages. I’m not sure I’d ‘miss’ anyone but always enjoy reading Floisme and Judystilldreamsofhorses on S&B. All my favourite mumsnetters have actually become good friends in ‘real life’ - we bonded on a S&B thread years ago and we moved chat to WhatsApp. Been chatting daily ever since.

For me it’s Pallisers, MrsTerryPratchett and PyongyangKipperbang. I rarely disagree with any of them and they usually show both common sense and empathy.

Yes those and also one who I think is Elizabethbennetsbonnet? And the sen advisor use to Called theenginethatcould or something similar?

Blanketyblank04 · 03/10/2026 16:07

RoxanneMonke! Her thread from about 10 years ago was epic! Haven’t seen her on here since.

drolldrill · 03/10/2026 16:41

I think I only recognise the crazy ones

SconehengeRevenge · 03/10/2026 16:41

BIWI has helped so many women on the low carb boards

drolldrill · 03/10/2026 16:43

Oh yes! PigletJohn who I don’t see much but they are a good egg.

drolldrill · 03/10/2026 16:45

I remember Xenia & her diaries! I remember a poster with Bluntness in the username & she seemed miserable all the time, did she start a thread asking why some people thought she was rude? 😆

Posts like this no longer work, we all name change on a regular basis and it’s so much busier so you don’t tend to notice the ‘regulars’.

Is it really busier? I often see the same posters

comeondover · 03/10/2026 16:53

I have to agree with several posters. My first thought was MrsTerryPratchett - always wise, compassionate and sparky. (I wonder if we could still spot her if she does name change.) Then RedToothBrush, who I've only just come across on a thread about emergency scenarios - lots of brilliant posts there. And even though I've never needed PigletJohn's advice on DIY - I have often clocked how generous he is with it. There are a few other names I often recognise and appreciate their posts.

She shuffled off with tail between her legs I think after something to do with a second property if I vaguely recall?

She went to it in lockdown I think. Imagine the hysteria that caused on the Covid threads when posters wanted to report their neighbours for just stepping outside their back door to put the rubbish out! 😂

TFImBackIn · 03/10/2026 16:57

I very rarely look at names nowadays and so don't recognise many. I like @lauriefairycake (or something like that) who will always ask posters what they learned about relationships when they were growing up. It's a really good point. However I notice the comment and then look up to see it's her. Years back there were tons of regulars whose names I knew - I much preferred it then.

Redtoothbrush

She’s great.

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 03/10/2026 17:00

I remember a poster called Flowery who was an HR specialist. She gave lots of accurate advice on the employment threads but still some randoms would argue with her thinking they knew best. 🙄

ChimpanzeeThatMonkeyNews · 03/10/2026 17:00

There are plenty on the FWR threads, who are great.

Yes, I forgot TinselAngel who has done so much for women both on line worldwide and in real life. Giving advice and courage to women in the most coercive of relationships.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 03/10/2026 17:25

Hello 😊

I occasionally lurk when I'm bored, but haven't posted for a long time. I stopped posting when the site became about adverts rather than the people and and community here.

I miss the old days and being able to chat with other weather interested people. I also miss some of the companions and friends I made here. I hope all the old timers lurking and posting here are well.

For those who joined in an era where they dont recognise names - you don't know what you missed. There's something very valuable about community, even online.

Chatterlyssecret · 03/10/2026 17:33

ANYFUCKER the most straight talking member ever to be on MN.
I repeat ANYFUCKER.

BunnyLake · 03/10/2026 17:51

I rarely notice posters names.
