What obvious adult discoveries made you feel a bit of a plonker?

What’s something you learnt as an adult that made you think that’s completely obvious and yet I have never considered that….i feel like a bit of a plonker?

Mine was when taking tablets, the more you drink with it the better it will dissolve. I think alot of tablets are testing with the assumption people will drink 250ml alongside it.

They often do have a coating. My coaeliac sister can rarely have chips if we go out, because so many places use a flour coating to make them crispier on the outside, and then they aren't gluten-free.

You really don’t understand what’s being said and I cannot be bothered explaining it. She has the cover oriented correctly on the bed with the fastenings at the foot. She just had the duvet inside the cover the wrong way. She has now figured out how to out the duvet into the cover correctly. Absolutely nothing o do with having the fastenings at the side.

I can't cope with king size duvets. I have double size, and double duvets are square so it doesn't really matter if you put them in the wrong way.

I think king or super king duvets are wider than they are long.

I was told by my petrolhead ds, that any feature in a car that is not used within the first five months...will never usually be used.

I don’t bother to read the manual for my car. 20mph speed limits were imposed locate sand like lots of people was caught out by it.
Went in a speed awareness courses where the trainer told us about the speed limiter on the driving wheel stalk. Simple to use and I now routinely use it always.

My geography is bad but I thought Budapest and Bucharest were the same place. I thought people just pronounced it differently 🙃

@Thegirlwhowent I too found a secret storage drawer (under the front passenger seat) when searching for a parking ticket that had fallen off the dashboard yet wasn't in the footwell. I had had the car for six years by then.
