So, I have a theory about this behaviour.
He and his fellow travellers saw how Tommy Robinson managed to set himself up as a sort of protestor/truth teller using the grooming gangs as an opportunistic stick to beat institutions. (Actual concern for women and girls in short supply, of course.)
Undermining institutions (not just employees or groups who may have messed up badly, whole policies, laws, legislation, etc) is the goal. The “alternative” is being presented as this vigilante, masked mob who want to be seen as martyrs who are just “standing up for Britain.”
The fact that they are increasingly looking more like football hooligans beating up or even attempting to murder ordinary “bedrock of society” British volunteers and undermining our country’s law and order is probably not part of an electoral plan, but it may be part of a broader intimidation one.
“Don’t disagree with using mob violence or we’ll come after you” is quite a striking approach for any political party to endorse. Is he clearly linked to Reform/Restore?
