DH has been cross with me for weeks after I told a very pretentious friend of mine that he watched "Love Island" apparently he has never watched it, it was TOWIE and I got muddled.

How to cook quorn nuggets.

I was wrong apparently, so I ate them all out of spite.

I love this.

When I was pregnant the first time around, I had terrible hypermesis. They weren’t so much arguments but me being desperately sick and hormonal, I called him an “arsehole” because they only had 2 green apples left at the shop and I wanted 4 or 5 that very night. He laughed and tried to give me a cuddle and I told him to stay away from me whilst big fat sobs erupted from me and I shut myself in the bedroom for the night as if I’d just found out he’d done something catastrophic like cheat on me 🤦🏻‍♀️ Not one of my finest moments and if anyone knows me, I’m not one to swear really let alone at my Husband, the shame.

The next day, he came home from work with 12 green apples. Funny thing is, I don’t like green apples normally, I’m a pink lady kinda girl. I just wanted the crunchy, sour taste all of the time as it was the only thing I kept down for longer than 20 minutes.

I'm loving these.

An ex and I had a humdinger. We went for a day trip to a reservoir. We followed a group of adults and kids around where all we could hear was a mum wining/pleading with the kids not to walk in the stinging nettles. It went on and on.

I said if they were my kids and I'd told them once or twice then they could just walk in them. (They would.soon learn). It escalated. This ended up with him declaring i would be a bad mother. Our day out was ruined. We returned home in silence i think.

There's a reason he's now an ex.

I have 3 kids and stand by what I said that day! And he's still an arse - i imagine. I don't think i'm a bad mother neither does my husband.

Had a huge "debate" in a tearoom in Scarborough with an ex bf about who was the most talented Beatle.
He stormed off and left me transportless and no idea where I was. Loveliest peaceful afternoon and we're still friends today...just don't mention the Frog Chorus!

Theunamedcat · 12/09/2026 01:49

The "specific" ocean i corrected it to Pacific he maintained he was right because he was talking about it pacifically I said your just trolling me for an argument now and ignored him he went wild for hours kept saying things to the children like "your mom thinks she is soooo clever" "your mom thinks she is right about everything" in the end we were all ignoring him the kids were just 👀👀👀👀👀 ds asked me if daddy had gone mad i just said maybe and gave him a biscuit "oh so we are allowed BISCUITS now arec WEEEEE???" Whether octopuses or humans were more intelligent, as a species.

We were once in a lovely little pub while away on holiday. DH spilt his pint so I went to ask for a cloth.
DH was slightly stroppy when I returned because I had said ‘could we have a cloth please? He’s managed to spill his pint everywhere!’, in a perfectly casual and jokey manner to the lady at the bar. Who was not bothered at all by the spilt drink.

Apparently I shouldn’t have identified it was him, and should’ve just said ‘we have spilt a drink. Please may I have a cloth’

We’d just done a very long walk and got caught in the rain towards the end. I think he was a bit tired and emotional 😂

I’m with him on this! I hate it when people ‘jokily’ put down their partner in front of strangers.

No. Bury is pronounced different ways... Could be as berry or bree as well

Had an argument about his broad statement that "every woman" fancies brad pitt (i do not) i said Jennifer's (cant spell her surnames) ex? I've not really seen him in anything since Thelma and Louise! He was adamant i was a liar listed films he was in none of these films was my kind of film I was baffled why my husband was going off about an apparently handsome man he isnt my type at all 😂 he carried it over to his mothers house banging on about how he knows i fancy brad pitt etc etc I said to his dad I felt I was in a lavender marriage at this point because my husband wont stop discussing how good looking brad pitt is

He shut up 😁

😂 lol @ lavender marriage

JumpLeadsForTwo · 12/09/2026 07:26

Long standing disagreement that I accidentally spilled his drink on his lap when we were on an airplane long distance on our honeymoon. I clearly remember that it was his elbow not mine. Been married many years, but occasionally comes up in jest.

Not me, but OH and his (adult) son has a row in s restaurant about whether it was worse to be attacked by a giant octopus or a small shark. It then escalated into a more heated argument about which character in Nemo was the more intelligent.

If you don’t pre-heat the oven the bottoms are soggy after the cooking time so the batter peels off when you pick them up and they’re a bit soggyx so I pre-heat the oven to stop that, you know, the correct way.

But apparently doing that means the insides are cooked too much so they’re over done and dry.

Zapx · 12/09/2026 07:48

How to open a bag of frozen peas.

suggestionsplease1 · 12/09/2026 07:55

Peeling potatoes and whether to use a peeler or a knife. (Peeler , obviously - less waste right?)
We divided the potatoes up and she was deeply annoyed that I finished more quickly and then I got the silent treatment when I tried to help with her pile to speed things up 😁

Early in our relationship my husband told me that most people didn't breathe properly, they breathed with their shoulders, had I ever noticed? I admit that the manner in which I told him that this was utter nonsense may have been undiplomatic, but the amount of umbrage he took was still excessive. (He's lovely really, and still comes out with ridiculous observations sometimes.)

He’s right actually. Except it should be ‘’many” rather than “most”. I know a physio who treats people for this. I have also read a book on it - according to that somebody did some research on the breathing technique of patients in UK GP waiting rooms and 40% of them had a breathing disorder. When they researched hospital waiting rooms, the figure was even higher.

Too many to remember,.but just the other day, he got in a strop with me after watching EastEnders.

There is a storyline of a character getting pregnant after a one night stand and wanting to keep the baby. He said that he didn't understand why she was doing that as she had just got engaged and wasn't far along, it was easy to abort. I said I understood why she wouldn't want to abort and that it's a highly personal and sensitive decision for a woman. Apparently that translates to me wanting to have an affair and get pregnant 😂

This sounds horrible, not funny like some of these others - is your partner always this jealous and horrible? You know this isn’t normal, right?

crumbsontoast · 12/09/2026 08:09

DH and I once had a huge row over whether North Korea is as bad as they say. For some reason he argued that it was exaggerated in the media. He subsequently admitted he couldn’t even remember why he said that as he knows it’s bad!

cakewitch · 12/09/2026 08:10

Was a very famous footballer blonde or ginger. That ones still rumbling on now, over 25 years later.

dizzydizzydizzy · 12/09/2026 08:18

ExDP (note the ex) insisted he’d still be walking around the kitchen in his filthy wellies making muddy footprints if he had been the one who had just scrubbed the floor. Me: “don’t be ridiculous! No you wouldn’t”. ExDP: “of I course would” ….. etc

No, he's not right, it's physiologically impossible bullshit. But I risk letting it also become the stupidest argument I've ever had with a random on the internet 🤣

Sillysausage76 · 12/09/2026 08:26

Ours was about running a bath and if you put the plug in straight away (obviously) or put it in when water is hot. His argument was you always put 1/4 hot water in before adding cold, mine was it doesn't matter if the first part from hot tap is cold as your be adding cold later.

It’s called upper chest breathing and it is when you use your neck and shoulder muscles to breathe instead of your diaphragm. info here:
