We’ve literally just lost Dolly Parton - an actual icon, a legend, and a woman who did more for children's literacy and charity than most governments.

And what does Meghan Markle do exactly FOUR HOURS after the news breaks? She drops an ad for her new "spiced apple butter." under her As Ever brand

AIBU to think there is zero chance this was an accident? She just couldn't stand the global news cycle not being about her for five minutes. Any normal, decent PR team would immediately pull a condiment launch out of respect. Instead, she deliberately pushed it through to piggyback on the trending algorithms and steal the limelight.

It is absolutely vile. Dolly was a total class act, and Meghan is literally trying to sell overpriced jam over her grave. I am just so sickened by the sheer, unadulterated narcissism of it. Tell me I'm not the only one seeing exactly what she's doing here?

This is true. Also, a Daily Mail reporter recently wrote that Harry and Meghan regularly brief the media and at least once did so and then complained that palace staff have done so.

There have been photos distributed by Harry and Meghan showing quite enough of their faces. You can check People Magazine for an article showing all the times they did. I am not going to link it. People often shares info that was provided by them directly.

I can guarantee that the product launch was planned way in advance and they either were too late to reschedule it or decided to run it anyway. There’s absolutely nothing about Dolly in the ad, are you seriously suggesting that nobody could post any other topics that day? I saw lots of posts that weren’t about Dolly, and lots that were. What’s the time limit here of someone passing away and not being able to post? People die all the time so what’s the criteria?

I don't think MM timed it to coincide. I also was totally unaware of the spiced apple butter launch until I saw this thread (and in fact can't say as I'd ever buy from As Ever - I'm more Tesco's to be honest). I also don't think the OP's complaint about the timing is racist.
