Do you have a keyring for your keys ? and if so, what is it ?

I've just brought a brand new car (first time for brand new, we've really pushed the boat out for this car) which comes with a posh fob (no key - just buttons on the fob). I would like a keyring of some sort attached to it, so I know it is my one (me & DH each have a fob) and am looking for suggestions. Would like something stylish .. would an airtag be suitable ? if lost, the key fob is a lot of money to replace.

Keen to hear whatever else has.

I have two metal Care Bears… one is ‘Cheer bear’ which I had as a child and the other is ‘Friendship Bear’ that my sister had.. we spent years taking the bears everywhere with us.. the actual bears are still safe at home… now I just have the keyrings.. and a trolley token…

I’ve had mine almost 30 years, a chunky metal shape, I’d be more bothered about losing it than the actual keys

A mini torch, a trolley token and a face cover thingy if I have to do mouth-to-mouth.
Be prepared.

Do they still recommend mouth to mouth? I thought the general consensus now was not to do it. But is it more that they dont teach it because they know many people won't do it?

It's been many years since I did a first aid course. I realised that unfortunatepy I'm a panicker and would be more of a liability than a help. Plus I'm weak and no way would I be strong enough to do chest compressions properly.

I have a carabiner for my house keys. Never take my car key out of my purse, car lock and unlocks on contact. Can’t actually remember what keychain is on it. Nothing I think, just whatever it came with from the manufacturer.

Isn't that rather heavy to carry around and cumbersome to fit in the car?

That’s very true, but it’s balanced out by always knowing where my keys are 🤣🤣

Pippatpip · Today 07:34

I got one off Amazon which fits over the key thingy but allows the buttons to still work and it had a hook thingy which I could attach my keys to. Look on Amazon or the like for key fob holder for make of car… and see what you get. You can also get faraday pouches with key fob attachments too. Just a word of advice - if it is keyless entry, don’t put key in same pocket as mobile phone cos the battery drains on the key fob.

I have a carabiner, I have loads of keys, house key, car key, side door, seperate house, work locker.

I have a small key ring, it a super cheesy one of a matchstick man that when you put next to an identical one my husband has, it makes a heart out of their little hands.

I am not romantic at all but my husband is, I bought it for him a joke to show that i could indeed be romantic sometimes!

I've got one bunch of keys on a Tour de France keyring, another on one from the Glasgow 2014 commonwealth games. The different designs and shapes ensure I take the correct one!!

I have an elephant key ring. I made the mistake of telling DH and the kids that I like elephants. I now have key rings, scarves, cushions, wooden carvings, socks, paintings, .... every possible thing with elephants. It's gone way too far for me to say anything. I just have to smile every birthday and xmas.

I have this problem except I get everything Hello Kitty 😂

Add a tracker, different colour for his and yours and you are all good. Bonus the app on your phone can locate them and they can locate your phone.

This has saved me sooo often, when I was afraid I had lost my keys.

Yeah I have a bottle opener keyring I brought from Cairns.

My car fob lives in a faraday pouch so the signal can't be scanned. It's one of the ways theives steal cars these days - use a scanner to find the signal then take your car. The house keys are clipped to the back. Not sexy but makes keys easy to find.

It definitely works as, if I put the fob in the pouch whilst in the car, the car can't locate the signal.

Ours are too. Mine are in red pouches and DH’s are in black. At home they’re put in the Faraday box.

My house keys have a poppy on them from the Royal British Legion.

No you just do compression unless you chose to. . I just carry it , in case.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · Today 11:31

And if you cannot do compression you call in a substitute while you phone 999😉

Son's nursery pic - I'm sure he loves it now he's 15 🤣

I got someone reunited with her keys once. They'd dropped them in the street on the way to school ( I could've run away with their car if I thought VW key, lets try all the VW nearby till I hit bingo) but I calmly took them to the school reception and they looked at the photo keyring of the little boy in uniform and knew him.
So she got her keys back .

daisyydaisyy · Today 11:37

I have key rings from everywhere. But I’ve taken most of them off now to save weight when I’m out on hikes, so I just have one I got from work that has the business name on it.

Augustone · Today 12:24

I crochet mine. They are wrist straps so handy when juggling things and I can make a fresh one when I need to. Different colours help ID my keys-red is my car key(car is red) grey for husbands car (grey car) and green for house (no idea why). Also good for spotting them when thrown in bag / desk at work etc
