Do you have a keyring for your keys ? and if so, what is it ?

I've just brought a brand new car (first time for brand new, we've really pushed the boat out for this car) which comes with a posh fob (no key - just buttons on the fob). I would like a keyring of some sort attached to it, so I know it is my one (me & DH each have a fob) and am looking for suggestions. Would like something stylish .. would an airtag be suitable ? if lost, the key fob is a lot of money to replace.

Keen to hear whatever else has.

Harry Potter Ravenclaw key ring from the HP shop in Heathrow!

A Christmas keyring?! That is one of the saddest things I have ever read.

Calling out whiny and joy is what is sad.

I have a clubcard, a nectar card, and a house key. If you have a nice car, maybe an AirTag or similar. I hate bulky keys.

Mine is a device that has a quick release mechanism. It makes it easy to remove a key if needed.

I have more keyrings than keys on my car/house keys Grin

Same, I have a bead keyring DD made in reception, a Croc one from a McDonalds happy meal, deliberately got myself a happy meal on the way to work last week just to get the keyring.
I have a small UV torch, a normal torch, a seatbelt cutter, a keyring with a bunch of little stars on it and a few others.

I only have 2 keys on there!

I forgot I also have a lego pirate figure keyring that a boy gave me in school once. Its missing its legs now but its still on my keys 25 years later.

I tie a small silk scarf on mine so that when they descend into the bottom of my hand bag i can find them easily 😊

GasPanic · Yesterday 13:29

You can get a key fob cover to protect your car key. That will stop it getting damaged and looking manky when you try to sell it.

I have a minimalist key set with just the car and the house key and a tile on it. Eveything else is separate. I just found I was carrying round too many keys, and the pain it would have been if I had lost them would have been annoying.

I have a little rubber loop thing that was a promotional give away at some event, it’s handy because it’s easy to grab in my bag and I can hang my keys off a finger if my hands are full. Also a Lego Eeyore keychain that DS chose for me. Ooh and also a fob that’s my membership ‘card’ for a local attraction.

WonderWeeksArentReal · Yesterday 13:32

I've got a Tile tracker on my keys in case I lose them. Before that I had the jangliest keyring I could find, so I'd hear if I dropped my keys or they fell out of my bag.

One car key has a wooden scrabble tile with my initial. The other has a mini boomerang brought back from Aus by a friend. House key has an RHS floral keyring and work keys have a bright pink plastic fob (similar look to the Pantone one shown earlier but not nearly as nice).

Mine is a metal heart with a picture of my husband when he was 20. We went out for a few months when he was 20 (i was 17) but split up. We got back together in our 50's and got married last year so i love the keyring as it reminds me of when i first met him.
My work lanyard has a keyring which is a picture of my kids when they were in primary school, eldest was 11 in the photo he is 31 now but i love looking at it. It was one of the plastic key rings with a photo in between that i bought from the school.

Rubber Bedlington terrier, a replica of the crosses in the local church in Spain (only because they came with the keys to our flat) and a square of leather with my name hammered into it.

Mine is a silver disc that says 'This Granny belongs to' and then 3 smaller discs hang from it with my GSs' names on.

I have a copper version of this with "This Mummy belongs to <sonsname>!

PollyannaWhittier · Yesterday 13:43

I have a crocheted carrot on my car keys and a pink and blue scoubidou keyring on my house keys. I don't have a keyring on my work keys, but I spot them in my bag by the plastic pokey thing that opens the paper towel dispensers.

Not sure any of those fit your requirement of 'stylish' Grin

A Ronan keating one, just his smiling face 😂it’s a joke one (I tell myself). It does actually make me happy when I see it, my husband brought it for me. I originally was like wtaf but I’ve given in, now wear it with pride.

StormGazing · Yesterday 13:49

I have a silver peacock keyring and a small cat on a different keyring. I love both these animals so my children bought them for me at various times.
i used to have a Tiffany & co keyring years ago as I worked near Tiffany’s London, loved that but its battered now lol - I must get it cleaned up!

caringcarer · Yesterday 13:50

I have my house keys, an air tag, a key for both DS houses, car key, my initial, an Eiffel tower, a silver image of a cat that sadly died and a scoobie my youngest ds made me when he was about 8 in a snake stitch it's glittery. He is 31 now. I'd rather lose all the keys if I got the Scoobie back.

ilovesushi · Yesterday 13:54

I have a little wooden Highland cattle on my keys. I have a beautiful very chunky Gucci keyring but it weighs a ton so not very practical and I never use it.

Tomikka · Yesterday 13:58

I have a few keys

My “carry around” one is house key, car key, roof box. I have used a lanyard for years as it means that I can find it among pockets & bags.

The big bunch includes one friends house as I’m theoretically a carer, and another friends shop as I am on their emergency list as they don’t drive

The rubber tube and circuit board have personal reasons, the big bunch has various clip on / clip off rings as there is some form of organisation among them

I have generic non Apple tags on the key rings and various things

I have a bunch of them a xenomorph, a trolley token, a poppy, a new rock logo, a picture of me and my bestie of 23 years. I use it as a legal weapon at this point.

ManyATrueWord · Yesterday 14:16

I have a lanyard. Game changer! Can carry just a couple of keys around my neck or can find the whole bunch in a big bag of things when a bit of the lanyard can be seen.

Elongated09 · Yesterday 14:16

thanks all, lots of variety and some lovely stories behind your keychains.

I have removed the tatty tesco clubcard fob .. which was falling to bits and curling around the edges .. and all the keys I have no idea what they are for ! now I only have the posh car key fob, a house key and a trolley coin .. just need to decide on a keychain now ..
