Im sure they'll be lots of judgement on here as always but here we go

I really wish I hadn't married my 1st husband. He was a loser and still is.
I find 99% of kids so dull

I love my husband and my children and my brother, but my parents and whole rest of my extended family are a massive disappointment to me and I also think they are all a bit thick. My brother and I were the only ones who got the family brain cells.

I don’t like my sister and I’m scared of her. The only time I feel peaceful is when she’s not speaking to me.

I’m tired and fed up with my life an awful lot of the time. Feel
like I’m waiting to live my life. It’s been a difficult ride but life is smoother now and I should be enjoying it. But I feel like im
wasting it. My son died 12 years ago and I promised him I’d make the best of it. If you met me I put on a great charade. My life looks good on paper but I often feel nothing. Just nothing.

No new reservoirs have been built in the UK since 1992, and the population has increased by something like 10 million in that time. It rained constantly the first few months of the year so we should have plenty of water. That we don’t should wake everyone up to the fact that governments are comprised of useless career politicians who have no idea of managing anything, don’t really work for us or a combination of both.

Totally agree!! Margaret Thatcher should never have privatised the water industry.

I have loads of things in my mind that I'd love to do, and yet when I get the opportunity, I don't do them. I talk myself out of stuff all the time, from buying something for myself to taking myself on a trip and I don't know why.

Water companies should be fixing leaks, but it doesn’t change the fact that we have severe drought and water shortages in parts of the UK right now. We need it to rain!!

I don't know where you are in the UK, but where I am it rained non-fucking stop from September until about March this year and my area still has a hosepipe ban, so where is all that water?!

I have WFH today and I have done nothing. Answered a few emails to show I am here but nothing really constructive. I am normally a very diligent worker but today - nope.

Me three. I have had months of insane busyness, lots of things finished, then a few days off. Technically I don’t therefore actually have anything I ‘needed’ to do today, I suppose I could have filed my emails, but…..nope. Can’t be arsed. Will be in the office tomorrow so it will be quite hard spending the whole day pretending to do something productive….

For the last 4 months, I, a 51 year old woman, have been having the best sex of my life with a 25 year old man 😊

OMG you beat me to it lol.

I've been using MN for 15 years and wouldn't tell a soul.

When I told the girl I parent she said you're a proper mum now. (Not allowed by SS to call myself guardian or anything else really.

That I can't wait till my eldest one (21) moves out. I love him to bits but the unpredictable moods are starting to get to me big time

When I ride my bicycle, I like to pretend I’m riding a horse. I have a whole cross country course on my commute to work with different speed bumps as jumps and sometimes I score myself for the approach. As I run through the Greenwich Foot Tunnel pushing the bicycle, I’m competing in the in-hand section of the gaited pony show.

It passes the time.

Edited

A tedious commute becomes something magical - it's genius and reminded me of being a girl and pretending to be riding a horse. We all pretended we were riding horses back then.

I don’t love my husband. Am not sure I ever did.

But why is she exempt from the ban?! Genuine question?

I shouldn't have bitten really as that's what she wanted.

Sometimes I wish I wasn't on mums net. I've just watered my dahlias - had no idea there was a hosepipe ban. If there is, it is the first time since I was a child ...

Same!! Water companies in England and Wales lose an estimated 2.6 to 3 billion litres of water every day through leaky pipes.

That I wish I never had kids. I absolutely gave everything to them - far more than I should have done. They are adults and are really quite shitty to me. Im quite ashamed of how thoughtless and unkind they are. My nieces, and stepchildren treat me way better. They all forgot my birthday, and when I told them I was upset they just dont care.

I secretly wish sometimes that I never had them, but also that I was less of a 'good' mother - and just was a bit more selfish - because where did it get me?

Im having a hard few days tbh. I know this feeling will pass. But yeh, i cant admit this feeling out loud.

Jewelinthecrown00 · Yesterday 18:10

I don't really have any close friends. I have kept in touch with a few friends from school, uni and past work, but only really see these friends occassionally and they don't live close by. I do most things with DH but it would be nice to have someone else, a woman, in my life to be close to and to explore the world with!

Nerdynerdynerd · Yesterday 18:11

I find tight ringlets (NOT loose curls or afro textured hair) but natural tight ringlets of curls repulsive, it's like a tryphobia response and I've no idea why. I would never admit this because its weird!!

Pulledbluecurtain · Yesterday 18:11

That I love and read alot of fanficfion.

I didn’t mind Keir Starmer.

I’d get shot if I said that in my majority Reform council area.

5pizzasaday · Yesterday 18:11

I would NEVER verbalise this opinion in real life to any of my friends or family, so buckle up...As a woman in my 30's I'm so, so unbelievably bored with hearing about everyone's boring pregnancies and hearing about babies and toddlers. So many people I know complain non-stop about it, despite it being apparently the thing that they wanted most in the world.

I particularly abhor the surprise that they supposedly have about elements of parenting such as the tiredness and the body changes. I feel that so many women just decide to close their ears to anything that could conceivably be negative in relation to pregnancy and motherhood. It's as though their pregnancy hormones debilitates them from using Google.

My heart sinks whenever my friends announce a pregnancy, it almost certainly means that the friendship is over and it will be another one lost to the drudgery of motherhood. I have no idea how to relate to the constant monologue of baby and pregnancy talk and it is almost inevitable that the friendship will be one-sided. I fear that I will become a total pariah because I just simply cannot relate to the constant mother and baby talk. I find people's achievements other than the standard life milestones far more inspiring.
