Im sure they'll be lots of judgement on here as always but here we go

I really wish I hadn't married my 1st husband. He was a loser and still is.
I find 99% of kids so dull

I love the taste of my bogies/snot.

Me too. I find no real pleasure in life. Also definitely not depressed.

Me three. I’m making the best of things, but life hasn’t been especially kind or easy. I wouldn’t have chosen to be wrenched into existence.

When I ride my bicycle, I like to pretend I’m riding a horse. I have a whole cross country course on my commute to work with different speed bumps as jumps and sometimes I score myself for the approach. As I run through the Greenwich Foot Tunnel pushing the bicycle, I’m competing in the in-hand section of the gaited pony show.

It passes the time.

Edited

This is brilliant. I sometimes pretend I'm out and about with my invisible kids. I don't have kids in real life!

I do that on the train sometimes, as we pass hedges I pretend I’m jumping them!

I really cannot stand staying overnight at other people’s homes. It gives me the ick

What about holiday homes and hotels?

Chefpig · Yesterday 16:38

As I've been off work for a while, come 4pm, I close the living room curtains and lie naked on the sofa watching travel programmes on YouTube.

I find being around elderly people excruciating. After spending time with ILs or my elderly parent I feel so drained. I also dread seeing them, I have to build the energy up beforehand. I feel so guilty about it, I know one day that will be me etc etc.

When I hear a big belted out ballad on the radio I pretend I'm singing it at a karaoke and the whole pub goes silent to admire my brilliant voice.

I’ve been really lazy at work recently and no one’s noticed. I went away about a month ago and when I came back I just couldn’t be arsed with it anymore. I’ve been half expecting by boss to call me (I WFH) and ask what I’ve been doing but I had my mid year review last week and he said he’s really pleased with my work! I’m wondering what the actual point of my job is now.

Getting married is a big regret of my life.

Having a child is THE big regret of my life.

Everyone says it gets better but he’s four now and I still hate basically every single day of motherhood. Even when it’s good, it’s not as good as feeling free.

WineCharm · Yesterday 16:53

I would tell you but that would be admitting it ........... aloud..... 🤐

I have WFH today and I have done nothing. Answered a few emails to show I am here but nothing really constructive. I am normally a very diligent worker but today - nope.

Omg this! I don’t have a problem with my mum. Shes 90, active, does loads. She has plenty to talk about.

My Dad 93, housebound, totally dominated by his wife (who doesn’t like me). My MIl, 93, in a care home, the world revolves around her, she’s totally selfish and I dislike her intensely. I really really have to make myself go and see them. They drain me of everything. I need to try to be more dutiful. It’s such an effort.

Maybe I should be cantering through Greenwich Park on my bike/horse. Such a brilliant positive post from further up the thread.

Why do you regret getting married?

I say this as a single woman who feels judged for not being married. I feel everyone else has it figured out.

Coming home from New Zealand many years ago. I could have stayed, but my life there was heading in one way and I still had a life in the UK. I chose the UK but still regret it as nice as my life is.

Because it’s just not who I am. If I had been braver, had more self knowledge, I would have realised I was always at my happiest single. I got married because I wanted, in a way, to prove I was worth marrying. There would have been better ways to find validation. I wasn’t brave enough to seek them.

That I had a sexual relationship with my best friend (also a girl) at school. Not because I’m embarrassed - although it took me until my 30s to realise I’m bi, duh! But because it’s not only my story to tell and we still share a lot of mutual friends.

BewareOfTheFakes · Yesterday 17:05

Despite one of my managers beliefs about WFH, I am ten times more productive on my one day home than I ever am in the office. My school report regularly said talks too much and I think that’s probably the reason to be honest 🤣.

Edited ti add-that’s still with taking a break to do the washing up, hang the washing out and walk the dog!
