Im sure they'll be lots of judgement on here as always but here we go

I really wish I hadn't married my 1st husband. He was a loser and still is.
I find 99% of kids so dull

I really suffer with birthday blues, it’s not about aging, that’s a privilege denied to many, and I am grateful to age, but I absolutely HATE my birthday.

UnsureAndUnsteady · Yesterday 18:13

Periodically I have to check that my telekinetic powers still haven’t surfaced! I try to push a door, or summon the tv remote with my mind. Subconsciously I am convinced that I have these dormant powers because I’m also a tiny bit disappointed when it doesn’t work.

I would NEVER verbalise this opinion in real life to any of my friends or family, so buckle up...As a woman in my 30's I'm so, so unbelievably bored with hearing about everyone's boring pregnancies and hearing about babies and toddlers. So many people I know complain non-stop about it, despite it being apparently the thing that they wanted most in the world.

I particularly abhor the surprise that they supposedly have about elements of parenting such as the tiredness and the body changes. I feel that so many women just decide to close their ears to anything that could conceivably be negative in relation to pregnancy and motherhood. It's as though their pregnancy hormones debilitates them from using Google.

My heart sinks whenever my friends announce a pregnancy, it almost certainly means that the friendship is over and it will be another one lost to the drudgery of motherhood. I have no idea how to relate to the constant monologue of baby and pregnancy talk and it is almost inevitable that the friendship will be one-sided. I fear that I will become a total pariah because I just simply cannot relate to the constant mother and baby talk. I find people's achievements other than the standard life milestones far more inspiring.

You wait until it gets to uni talk. Thats super annoying. Like who the fuck cares where and what little Tarquin is studying. I feel Im forever smiling and nodding.

That I wish I never had kids. I absolutely gave everything to them - far more than I should have done. They are adults and are really quite shitty to me. Im quite ashamed of how thoughtless and unkind they are. My nieces, and stepchildren treat me way better. They all forgot my birthday, and when I told them I was upset they just dont care.

I secretly wish sometimes that I never had them, but also that I was less of a 'good' mother - and just was a bit more selfish - because where did it get me?

Im having a hard few days tbh. I know this feeling will pass. But yeh, i cant admit this feeling out loud.

I am sorry you feel like this. I'm not too pleased with mine atm

WhitePudding · Yesterday 18:16

That I had a different mother (now dead but was narcissistic, was awful to me all my life), I also didn’t make it to her bedside before she died and I feel not one single ounce of remorse or regret. I envy people with lovely mums and try to be the best mum I can to my kids.

Oh yes all of this! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Having a baby, getting engaged and getting married are not accomplishments. They are life events.

Women (and even men) who treat these events as “accomplishments” are fucking dull as dishwater.

Raising a child or children into happy, confident and independent adults with a zest for life and learning - now that’s the accomplishment!

DairyFogMother · Yesterday 18:16

I think I just need to say this somewhere, because sometimes being one of life’s “copers” can be a very lonely place.
My husband is disabled and relies on me for an awful lot. I love him, but if I’m honest, it can be incredibly tedious and exhausting. He has the radio or TV on 24/7, and I long for absolute silence. I can probably count on one hand the number of times I’ve actually been in the house completely on my own, with nobody needing anything from me and just enjoyed the silence.
I’m also one of those people who generally copes, gets on with things and doesn’t make a fuss. The downside is that nobody really asks how I am. And the truth is, there really isn’t anyone to ask. Over the years, the few friends I had have drifted away, and I’ve ended up with a very small life.
Voluntary work did give me something that was mine. It gave me a sense of purpose and, more importantly, an identity outside of being a wife and carer. Recently that came to an abrupt end — cancelled with a bunch of petrol station flowers and a card, because apparently the new person wanted to bring in her own people.
I know there are people much worse off than me, and I know I should probably count my blessings. But sometimes that doesn't stop you feeling lonely.
It’s a sad and lonely life sometimes, and I think today I’m just feeling the weight of it all.
I don’t particularly need anyone to fix it. I think I just needed somewhere to say it out loud.

I wish I had never bought my current horse.
Although I adore her, she has medical issues that means she won't make old bones.
I know she's going to break my heart sooner than I am ready for.

She was going to be my last horse (had at least one since 18) but I don't feel ready to hang my hat up. We were meant to grow old together 😭

I live most of my waking time in a daydream.

My husband needs to lose a good three stone to be attractive again.

Last night I had two intense and vivid dreams about moving in with my imaginary boyfriend in a foreign country.

Weird for Mumsnet, but I love being a mum, my 3yo is bags of fun, I laugh every day with him.

I think two under two is asking for trouble, age gaps wise.

I inherited my late mother’s anxious dog and I am SO resentful about the responsibility.

I hate having to plan my whole life around where dogs are and aren’t allowed to go, and I hate bringing dog poo bags everywhere, and the sheer ball ache of trying to plan a day out let alone a holiday, and the faff and expense of dogsitters, and having to get her groomed, and having to have her anal glands expressed because otherwise she scoots bum gunk everywhere, and having to wash her all the time because she rolls in goose shit, and just basically having this creature following me everywhere, just watching me with guilt-making eyes.

I do love dogs, I just always knew I didn’t want the responsibility of having one of my own to look after. And I don’t feel I can abandon an already stressed and bereaved animal. I just wish she were a cat and not so fucking needy and smelly.

Every time I day dream about getting a dog when I retire, I'll have to read this and get a reality check 😂

For the last 4 months, I, a 51 year old woman, have been having the best sex of my life with a 25 year old man 😊

I love this one! Am also v jealous!
i can’t be bothered with sex at all. It’s just a hassle. Clearly my lack of desire is linked to dh - maybe I need a 25year old.

I listen to Another Rock & Roll Christmas when I’m putting the tree up. I hate myself for it but it’s such a nostalgic Christmas tune for me, takes me back to wonderful memories.

My dp is balding quite rapidly and I’m dreading the day of the skin head.

And don't get me started on all of the "obligatory" celebrations for every one of these milestones which many seem to conflate with the sentiment "time to give me MORE money/presents". Particularly those that we have adopted from our transatlantic cousins such as baby showers, extortionate hen dos and gender reveals.

Isanyonereallyanonymous · Yesterday 18:23

That swinger friends of mine have planned a hot night playing out a fantasy for me tomorrow. And I can't tell anyone about it.

But also, that I know my birthday (on Thursday) will be lonely. And due to current circumstances (fresh tattoo so no swimming, broken bike so no cycling and poorly pony so no riding - though it will be too hot anyway) all the nice things I would usually do to treat myself, I can't.

StarDolphins · Yesterday 18:25

I really dislike weak people. Both men and women but since I see more women like this, I will base my post on women. The type of women that are so pathetically in love with being in love, that they’ll shape themselves into what ‘their man” wants in order to keep him, won’t call out bad behaviour, he makes all the decisions and the woman beats down her own desires and opinions. The type that blames the multitude of ‘other women’ rather than their perfect John. The ones that lose all sense of self and become an extension of what’s usually a controlling man. I just find myself cringing and thinking how pathetic it is.

Then I see some great, no-nonsense women on here that call out or dump awful men when they’re not in a great, equal relationship and I feel better!

That we have a ridiculous amount of money saved and invested (eight figures), two valuable mortgage-free properties and a tonne of income still coming in and I worry constantly about running out of money and think with regret of the things we have spent on instead of saving.

That I sometimes pretend I'm busier than I am to get out of things I don't want to do without hurting anyone's feelings.

Yes me me me! Absolutely hate my birthday but I can't really say why. Birthday blues is how I describe it, and most people wouldn't really understand as I think most people love their birthdays. It's a strange one isn't it?

thistimelastweek · Yesterday 18:29

I'm not nice.
I would never be actively unkind but I never really want to put myself out for someone else. That includes loved ones.
I pretend to be nice and I do do things for other people but deep down it's a chore and I'd rather not.
