Im sure they'll be lots of judgement on here as always but here we go

I really wish I hadn't married my 1st husband. He was a loser and still is.
I find 99% of kids so dull

OP posts:

I felt more lasting grief when my cat died than I did for either of my parents

I really cannot stand staying overnight at other people’s homes. It gives me the ick

Conversely, I HATE people being in my house. I dont like people coming over, I dont want them staying over, I want it to be just me and DH at home so I can hang in my PJs and relax. I dont want people in my home.

Before anyone comes at me, I have a lot of great friends but I just prefer to meet with them in a cafe or restaurant so I can leave whenever I want.

I really like doing admin and get a bit of a thrill every time an email pops into my inbox reminding me my car insurance is due etc.

I wish that people could be more honest with each other. It’s a rubbish Ricky Gervais film, but the one where nobody lies is a hard watch because we know that people do it all the time because the truth hurts.
( I admit I do it too !)

I've shared this one before on another of these posts but I'm a bi female (I swear!) and something nobody knows about me at all is that I have a huge fetish of large labias and think they're beautiful. I'd never admit this irl as I'm ashamed and I think that's due to often hearing other women say how much they hate theirs, and also men over the years making nasty comments about them so I feel if I admitted it, they'd think I'm crazy and weird Blush

As a large labiad Lesbian (not a sentence I’ve put together before lol ) this is actually so nice to hear, I really struggle with insecurity about mine , so please don’t feel ashamed about expressing that you like it !!

”How sharper than a serpent’s tooth it is to have a thankless child”

This quote springs to mind several times a day.

Unfortunately King Lear and I have a lot in common. I never imagined we would have when I was studying all those years ago!

King Lear was a really terrible parent though.

Oh lord I love that sentence!

I suspect EmbarrassedSecret26 is a regular on certain subreddits (they have several dedicated to large labia appreciation)!

That putting your children through a divorce, new stepfamilies or general emotional neglect (includes making them spend excessive hours in childcare) is far more harmful than screentime. Yet many parents are incredibly sanctimonious about the "dangers" of screentime whilst damaging their kids in all kinds of other ways.

this was mostly my childhood so I agree. its sad.

Just wondering how you do this, there's a barcode on bags ? I might give it a try.

I just dont scan them. Sometimes it will ask you to enter the amount of bags and I simply press '0'.

My lovely dad is in the late stages of dementia and i am dreading the day when he doesnt recognise me. He was very socialble(?) and loed to tell long jokes with hilarious punchlines. For this reason he was master of ceremonies at various events over the years. Now, he struggles to remember the punchline when he starts to tell a joke (which he does often because this is what he loved to do and was known for) and it is so heartbreaking to watch him stutter and stammer, trying to get it all out. He also cant walk very far anymore but is too embarrassed to use his walker so frequently falls over. I know it is only going to get worse but i genuinely dont know how im going to cope. I get extremely panicky when i think what the near future is going to look like. He would be mortified if he knew i felt like this which just makes it worse.

I'm not fussed if i don't leave the house for weeks on end. I love pottering at home and find holidays stressful and exhausting!

WhyTheFNot · Today 11:55

I have no real friends because I can’t bear most people I’ve met. In very small doses, I can enjoy passing the time with someone while talking about superficial fluff, but in my experience, these kinds of friendships end up demanding far more time than it is worth to maintain them. For the most part, I just really, really don’t care about people’s kids’ lives, or what they’re having for their dinner or watching on TV, or what holidays they’re going on, or their jobs (unless their jobs are actually interesting), or gossip concerning people I don’t care about. And I don’t expect people to care about the trivial fluff in my life either.

I want to talk about literature and ethics and politics and history and so on, but I don’t meet anyone else who does, so I just keep quiet, therefore most people think I’m just shy. I want to hear other people’s opinions and insights, and I enjoy engaging in intellectual debate, but I cannot stand people who parrot headlines and soundbites and buzzwords and Tweets without critical thought. Most people I meet are the latter type, so I’ve given up bothering.

Me too. I like minibreaks in this country but the idea of airports, packing, uncertainty, the possibility of feeling lost if something goes wrong in another country, the flight, being somewhere so unfamiliar and all the other stresses of it does NOT appeal to me at all. I love being at home.

I have spent all of my life engineering my situation to be the best it possibly can be including friends, location, my house, my set-up generally. Why would I want to leave it?

the80sweregreat · Today 11:59

I wouldn’t feel bad for taking the odd supermarket bag for life or the plastic ones.
They don’t care they lay people off in order to have self checkouts and scanners so they can avoid paying people to do the job at a till and let one person run a whole section that still holds you up if you need things signed off or the barcode doesn’t work. As long as the big companies can exploit you , that’s all they care about.

Mothrasstillmoshing · Today 11:59

Ok this is a dark one but no judgement please because some will be horrified.
I'm disappointed, that having been diagnosed with incurable cancer, that it's taking so long to actually die.
The hospital gave 6-18 months and I'm nearly at 3 years. Don't get me wrong, I have had fun, spent time with friends/family and done lots of fun stuff but now I'm so fucking tired of it all. My body isn't as it was and I'm bored with waiting now. My employer sacked me illegally leaving me with an ongoing fight through the ET service and I'm so tired of it all now. My DP treats me like I'm a decrepit imbecile and I know people are side eyeing me because I'm still here and they're wandering whether I'm actually ill at all.
Pfft...

SillySeal · Today 12:00

That I really hate my mil. She is an awful, selfish person who has made absolutely mean remarks about 1 of our DC. Obviously she thinks shes never in the wrong and shes the queen of the family. Ive bitten my tounge for DH sake as it would definitely split the family if I said how I really felt.

bafta16 · Today 12:01

I enjoy farting very loudly in my own home. I've paid a fortune for it but it's a terrace.

the80sweregreat · Today 12:02

I’d love friends who’d like to discuss politics and books and I have one who does and that’s why we get on!
She also likes a ‘two way chat ‘ and not many people do , it’s normally all about them ! I tend to nod and smile along as it’s easier with so many acquaintances you come across. I admit I don’t like many people much though , but I think it works both ways too as I know I annoy people etc.

Newstartplease24 · Today 12:02

I love my boyfriend but I really don’t want us to live together. In fact I’m always happiest with a boyfriend but who lives somewhere else. At the moment as I get older this is exacerbated by tricky digestion and I really like being in my own space to deal with any discomfort or urgency. I think if I live with my bf, who is the best bf I have ever had and the best man I have ever met, he will need so much of my attention I will start to resent him, because his ideal day is pottering about with someone to attend and pass him things and I am just thinking “can you just say what you need me for and I’ll do that and then bugger off and get on with my own stuff”. I think his ideal day is of living with is that the attended pottering would never have to end. That would kill me. I want to concentrate and do my own projects. I don’t think I can be clear about this without losing him and I am worried I’m stringing him along.

@slug. Hope all paper work is in order. because if it isn't the night mare goes on.

EmailsaysOOO · Today 12:05

I'm wondering if my husband's pension would support me if I gave up working early. My pensions are going to be rubbish as I had so many years working part time. My husband is generous and kind and caring. I just have to talk to him about it, but can't bring myself to do it. I'm so pathetic
