What wouldn't you admit out loud ?

Im sure they'll be lots of judgement on here as always but here we go

I really wish I hadn't married my 1st husband. He was a loser and still is.
I find 99% of kids so dull

OP posts:

I think taking dogs out for a walk specifically so they can poo in public places is extremely selfish. Even though some owners pick up after their dogs, I’m still trying to avoid stepping in the multiple smears of poo that soil every pavement. And I’d never sit down on the grass in a park again - it’s just not worth it. Yes, there’s also bird poo around, but dog poo is utterly vile.

I think dogs should poo in their own gardens, or in a dog toilet in their own homes (I really wish these had taken off).

@Juicybb I didn’t criticise, I asked a question.

When im walking by myself and its late or quiet I do a little internal monologue like i have been murdered amd crimewatch are broadcasting my story. 'Angrybird was last seen coming out of the co op with a family bag of wotsits and 4 doughnuts. Its not known is she was meeting anyone, but the crisps have never been recovered. Don't have nightmares.

Brilliant 😂funniest thing I've read in ages

This thread is about saying what you wouldn’t admit to in real life. I see suicide differently from you.

I know that. You questioned another poster hence my reply to you.

TreacherousPissFlap · Today 10:29

I actually like being at home and pottering about cleaning and gardening.

All my colleagues are always so busy with travel, events, family etc and it just sounds so exhausting. Fortunately for me DH is really quite unwell which has taken the pressure off me to compete with the next exotic holiday or concert as he's "not up to it" (scandalous really but I was always taught to look for the silver lining)

We've currently got a young puppy so are pretty much tethered to the house or short local trips- it's absolute bliss 😆

That i wish I had someone to take care of me. I'm just so goddamn tired and I feel so alone sometimes. And that I'm embarrassed about feeling like this.

Please don't be embarrassed.
Loneliness is awful.
I am single now and live alone, with a medical condition that limits my ability to go out and socialise and have a meaningful role in life. I have people who love me but they all have their own busy lives and I have no one I can just call and have a moan to.
I often wonder what's the point but then give myself a shake and carry on.
It is okay to feel like this.

the80sweregreat · Today 10:31

The poster who said that nobody is their cheerleader. I feel this way too. Mind you, I’ve never fitted in and a bit of a square peg in a round hole and always had problems at work because I get upset far too easily as well , a trait I need to work on. Some people can negotiate life a lot easier I think or have a magic formula for it!

I really think the community outreach stuff is needing a comeback. I have flares which will come on suddenly meaning I can't work regular hours. If I have free time I would love to pop over to someone local and chat or take them out shopping - it would be good for both of us! I realise logistically issues with people being vulnerable but I do feel there is a missing link, perhaps GP's could have a list of people who have similar issues and who would like to be part of a support network or something.

Holesfreakmeout · Today 10:37

Cherryio · Today 10:08

I know I’m not the only one who thinks it.

After it happened, once my grief had died down I was sent to a support group for teens who had lost a parent to suicide and this was the most common theme. We were all so angry.

The worst part is you can never say it out loud as people will always criticise you for it. I mean look at this thread- you’re supposed to say what you wouldn’t say out loud and already people are criticising it.

It wasn’t meant to be a criticism in any way. I could say more but this thread is not the place

Grammarnut · Today 10:37

Several things I am not admitting to.

the80sweregreat · Today 10:38

I wish I could have my old waist back instead of the round one that refuses to be shifted. I wish I hadn’t let two stone creep on and made better choices years ago with so many things.

SuzieGotYourNumber · Today 10:39

I practise Michael Jackson dance routines in my kitchen when I'm alone. I really want to suggest we do a Thriller flashmob at work. I'm in my 60s 😄

the80sweregreat · Today 10:40

I’d love to see a thriller flash mob. It is a good song!

Sasha07 · Today 10:42

I have PTSD and have been through a lot from a young age. I can relate to alot of people who are having a bad time. I reach out to people I know who post about things that I've been through and got through. I also seem to draw people to me who have alot issues, which is fine, we all need to vent.

But I wish they could not make it their entire personality. I would love to be able to talk to them about normal things, positive things. Ignore that we have the dark shadow over us every now and again. I've never met one who can temporarily let it go and been able to stay in contact with them as I just become their sounding board and I don't want to live in others prolonged, not attempted to work past, issues. I'd like some friends who have (unfortunately) been through things, so they have the depth of understanding, but who also want to live and enjoy life again.

Too many seem to get too comfortable with their uncomfortableness and live in a bubble. It's quite sad to see.

Dontlletmedownbruce · Today 10:42

I really resent tech enthusiasts who embrace all tech, being so eager to prove how advanced and forward thinking they are. They are just putty in the hands of billionaires and no more than blind sheep really, but act like they are so 'fingers on the pulse' and sneer at those who resist changes. I'm not suggesting society shouldn't progress but anything that can potentially change the fabric of society should be considered very very carefully. The tech companies merely make the product, it's the consumers who make the changes. Those who queued up for smart phones in the early 2000s and convinced every business to go entirely digital and eliminate human contact, the people who work in this field, they all have some blood on their hands here. They brought us porn addiction, shortened attention spans, a generation of socially inept young people and a myriad of other negative things. Now they are using AI for basic tasks causing untold damage to the environment and potentially screwing over another generation in terms of employment, again they are just silly little pawns for tech giants but act like they are so cutting edge. I used to feel a disconnect with people like this but now I actively dislike and disrespect them. They didn't realise 25 years ago what the consequences would be but now they do and still pursue it.

Mothrasstillmoshing · Today 10:45

I have a secret vampire kill (dinner) list.
If I ever become a vampire or become friends with one then I have an extensive list of dinner options.
For example:
My ex boss + their boss - who thought that sacking me because I have cancer was 'best for me'
Our local council leader - who's been sucking our borough dry for decades, propelling us towards 1 billion pounds of debt, takes bribes and so on
My stepmother - nasty spiteful woman who wears a face of beatific goodness that fools everyone
My mother - may have mother issues going on there 🤔
My sibling's ex DP - total narc and actually quite dangerous who I suspect killed their own cat to garner sympathy (yes really) and tried to hurt my sibling by doing something to their car which would've caused an accident (we know it was them because they forgot about the ring camera!)
My ex next door neighbours - "it's our neighbourhood so if I'm going to steal your bins/take all the parking spaces/ flood your garden while emptying my hot tub then I will" type people. They also run a rip off building company. We moved and they're still there throwing their weight about causing misery.
All the domestic /CS abusers - they're incurable, never learn and just go through life poisoning so many lives.

I'm often heard muttering "yeah, you're on the list" 😏

the80sweregreat · Today 10:45

Ds2 hates AI with a passion.
The poster below makes a lot of sense and with AI going rouge , it’s only going to get worse isn’t it

hevs03 · Today 10:47

My brother's ex-partner is an alcoholic and the impact this has had on my nephew is not great, she often posts on social media how much she loves her son, how much she loves being a boy mum etc. etc. and I'm itching to respond to her stuiped posts and tell her a few home truths, but I won't because of how it may impact my brother and of course my young nephew, but god I really really want to.

the80sweregreat · Today 10:47

I’ve really hated two people in my life. It was a horrible feeling. Luckily I did get over it, but it’s a strong emotion isn’t it and I’m sure lots of people have this at least once in their life.

RigsbysCat · Today 10:56

That I have been fortunate enough to inherit a great deal of money (I have about 800k) but that it genuinely hasn't made much difference to my life.

I don't want or need a new car yet, I'm not one for endless home improvements and don't want to buy a fancier house. Not fussed on expensive holidays. I just don't really have anything pressing to spend it on. I'm not in any way tight I just don't see the point in spending money for the sake of it. I live a pretty simple lifestyle and no one outside my immediate family has any idea how wealthy I now am.

I feel a bit guilty about it if I'm honest. I try to feel better about being so lucky and give to lots of charities and occasionally a bit here and there to people going through a hard time, but I just struggle sometimes to make sense if it all.

I used to wish this sometimes when my kids were young (lazy ex husband absolutely everything left to me) - but not a stroke or a heart attack, jeez that could ruin your life.

I used to wish I could have a car accident though, just be banged up enough to be in hospital for a month. I think that's actually a really common fantasy for overworked mums unfortunately :(

I was working full time and had three young children. My friend had just had her first baby, back in the day when they kept you in for a few days. There she was, sat in a hospital bed reading a book. I was so jealous. I didn’t want another baby, just a few days in bed being looked after!!😁

People who have no desire to travel abroad and have no interest in different cultures are boring and dull as fuck.

People who are convicted of drugs and fraud charges should not go to prison. Keep them on tag with strict conditions. Keep prison for the violent and sexual offenders.

Majority of Gen-Z are socially inept and lack critical thinking and problem solving skills and are entitled wet wipes.

Christianity, Islam and Judaism are awful religions and create more bad than good.

People who have no desire to travel abroad and have no interest in different cultures are boring and dull as fuck.

Now, I take exactly the opposite view. Granted, my health limits my ability to travel outside the UK, but even apart from that I increasingly find that people who travel abroad a lot are appallingly, tubthumplingly pig ignorant about the different areas in the United Kingdom.

There are so aphorisms about travel broadening the mind, but it seems to me that often travel narrows the mind. I know people who’ve been to various parts of the world, every holiday in a different country, and they know next to nothing about this one. I’ve often been told in amazement of the ways other countries do such and such, or interesting sights and so on, the speaker being not only oblivious to the fact that there’s similar in the UK but actively and determinedly uninterested.

The narrow mindedness is truly astonishing.

When I ride my bicycle, I like to pretend I’m riding a horse. I have a whole cross country course on my commute to work with different speed bumps as jumps and sometimes I score myself for the approach. As I run through the Greenwich Foot Tunnel pushing the bicycle, I’m competing in the in-hand section of the gaited pony show.

It passes the time.

Edited

This just triggered a memory for me - I used to do this too when I used to ride my bike anywhere as a child/teen Smile!

My FIL is so vile. I won't be sad when he dies.

I have no sympathy for people who moan about being single but refuse to make any effort to meet someone.

RaveToTheGrave1 · Today 11:02

That I'm glad I don't have friends any more, much happier!
