I'm worried about going away. I'm staying at a budget hotel. They don't serve food. I was thinking we can just eat out. But i didn't think it through and its to late now.

I can only eat grilled chicken, plain cod. Plain prawns and tuna steak.. protein yoghurts. Boild eggs strawberries doubt i will find them things. Even if i can they will likely be cooked on oils things and end up full of fat.

Yes i have found out there is a co op close by. Which is also my local shop so I know it well .

Eggs, fruit, the chicken even will be ok for a night at a time. Yoghurts will be fine. You can do the eggs yourself in the kettle. Buy ready cooked chicken. Buy things and have picnics

Do you eat any bread, can you eat sandwiches?

Is there any more you can eat?

Do people really boil eggs in hotel kettles?

Yes it should have been but we don't know the circumstances and background of who/how this holiday was booked.
I assume the OP is going with people who understand and know her dietary issues.

With your extremely restrictive eating it hardly sounds like it’s going to be a bundle of laughs for the other parties going.

What are your actual dietary requirements?

Is it gallbladder diet, are you coeliac? Why can't you eat bread and hummus? Why did you think you could just eat out if your diet is so heavily restricted?

If you have dietary requirements Im sure restaurants will accomodate, if they are just preferences then just order the closest thing. Most restaurants will do a steak/grilled chicken/grilled fish

This doesn't make any sense. Why didn't you book self-catering if your diet is that restrictive?

@Fatpiggie hopefully with a Co-op nearby you should be ok.
I am a bit of a "fussy eater". If ARFID had been a diagnosis when I was a child I would probably been diagnosed with it.
I am much better now as an adult but there is so much I simply do not eat.
In a couple of weeks I will be staying at my mother in law's. She is very much a traditional meat, potato and veg person which I just cannot stand.
But I love staying there because I get to live off Co-op and Londis goodies 🙂

Why is your diet so restricted?

I dont think you can manage eggs with gallbladder stuff, gall bladders dont like eggs very much I think

Every other chicken place will do you grilled chicken, just ask for it plain and have it with a salad instead of chips. Solved.

Other items you can always get them from the supermarket and go from there.

You can buy a mini fridge for about £30 and take it with you wherever you go. Then you know you can safely store whatever you buy. Something like this (though check plug/adaptor).

What about who you are on holiday with op? Will they have someone to go for meals with or be stuck with coop stuff too?

I don't have a car. So i don't want to be carrying stuff like that. Hopefully theres a fridge there. If bot i can still get bits from co op. When needed.

Who are you going with? Do they know how this holiday is going to pan out???

Its just me and dd. She can eat out still. I can just have a drink

Are there cooking facilities where you are staying? Otherwise not sure a Co-op on your doorstep is going to be much use.
